Nope. It was waaaaaaay too hot for vamps there! :hot: But if he'd been there I'd have happily given him some much-needed sustenance. :hearts:

Some how I see a place somewhere with vamps having a celebration very similar to Burning Man....it's so spiritual and artistic...Just they would pick something WAY MORE TEMPERATE!!!! (Aren't you a REAL Samaritan to offer Mick refreshment!!!!) We'd be so proud of you!

Haven't seen this one before. I found it on twitter, posted by Mymaximus. Looks like a deleted Scene from WLB.

OMG!!!!! :gasp:

What didn't we see? My mind is flying!!!!

I'd guess he's coming to see Lilah after they've begun a relationship and sees Ray arriving home. All the guilt! All the anguish! In a way, this is the absolutely first moment when Mick starts hating himself - long before he became a vampire.

Thank you Francis!

(And have we ever seen Mick wearing red before? Even Alex?)

I didn't realize they actually filmed that alternative ending. :hankie: Now THIS is a scene I would love to see!

Alle, correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember right, the ending Jill wanted has Mick going to see Lilah with flowers, and as he's coming up to the house, he sees Ray being taken out of an Army ambulance.

I. Love. This. Photo. It breaks my heart. Poor Mick. :Mickangel:

Bless Mymaximus. :happysigh:

I totally love that you can see everything Mick is going through in just this one still photo of a missing Scene. Alex is such a great actor, you can feel his heart breaking. :Mickangel:

That picture is wonderful. Thank you, francis. :hearts:

I actually talked to Justice Leak (Ray) about the scene in my interview( http://moonlightaholics.com/viewtopic.php?f=365&t=8759)...
Me: The original script for "What's Left Behind" had one final flashback with Mick heading down the street toward Lilah's house carrying a bouquet of flowers, his voiceover declaring that he was in love with her, when suddenly he sees an Army vehicle parked on the street. Ray is being helped into a wheelchair, and Lilah comes running out and throws her arms around him. It would have been so moving to see that flashback when the episode aired. Did you film that scene, or was it cut from the script before it was ever shot?

Justice: Wow, you really did your research! Not many people knew about that. Yes, we did in fact shoot that scene and it was very moving.

I was able to see an early edit with the writer before the show aired. I believe we were actually watching the edit when Jill received word that, among other cuts and changes the network would be making, they were cutting the reunion scene. They were afraid that people may find it too emotionally draining and lose the audience altogether.

I could not have disagreed more. But the network has the final say. I actually felt more for Jill than for myself that so much had been altered. While the episode was really good, I believe it could have been great had they stayed true to her initial vision.

I spoke with Jill at the Moonlight Con, after the writers' panel, and she said that she fought so hard with the network and the showrunners to keep that scene in the episode, it was a big part of why she was fired from the show. :Mickangel: But I'd forgotten that they filmed it! :slaphead: What an amazing treasure that picture is. I'm so happy to see it! :hearts:

I don't think Mick ever wore red, aside from that dropped scene (well, not counting the bad Hawaiian shirt, which had burgundy in it, and his burgundy wedding tie.) Alex rarely wears red. There are some old (way pre-Moonlight) shots of him in a red t-shirt, but no others that I can think of, offhand... :chin:
