Guardian Angel's Episode 2 discussion thread with screencaps

Original Air Date: Oct 5, 2007
Guest cast:
David Fabrizio: Lee Jay Spalding
Lisa Sheridan: Julia Stevens
Jordan Belfi: Josh Lindsey
Hal Williams: Det. Bobby Desmond
Lawrence A. Mandley: Young Det. Bobby Desmond
Rachel Kimsey: Ilene Spalding
Josh Wingate: Young Lee Jay Spalding
Kevin Weisman: Steve Balfour
Brian White: Lt. Carl Davis
Cosimo Canale: Ricardo
Jon Jon Briones: Party Goer
Catherine Kresge: Reporter No. 1
“No Such Thing as Vampires” introduced us to Mick, Josef, Beth and Coraline and established a fascinating world in which vampires live among us. That first episode certainly piqued our interest, but for many of us, this was the one that “sealed the deal.” With secrecy paramount to the vampires’ survival, it seemed certain that Mick would be hiding his true nature from Beth for quite some time. Suspense makes good drama, right? Who among us saw it coming – the big reveal – so early on in the series? It was stunning and heartbreaking and totally unexpected, and it signaled for us that this show was going to take us on a ride we would never forget.

Re: Moonlight on the CW, Ep 2: Out of the Past
Lilly,
You are absolutely right. I was intrigued, my attention ws captured, but it was this episode that changed Moonlight from 'an interesting little show' to 'must see TV'
If I start running off with the typing now, I will spoil the living daylights of the epsiode before it airs and I hope there is someone watching tonight--or maybe several someones--who have never seen it before.
I would doubt that they are hanging out here, though.
Yet.
Give 'em time...
Jenna

Jenna, I love your enthusiasm.
And it makes me happy to think that, somewhere, someone is discovering this show for the first time.

Oh, YES!! And I envy them the discovery.
I bet there are some Vampire Diaries fans who are learning what else is out there, in the world of vampires... and if they find out the history of this show, I bet they're kicking themselves for missing it when it first came out.

Absolutely!
I still feel so sad that I wasn't able to deluge the network with letters when cancellation was first discussed, but my job prevented me from watching network TV at that time.
You are so right!! Not that they would have paid any attention to one of my letters, but it would have been one more added to the others, and I am sure there were others.
Thanks!
Jenna

This episode does get the award for the most "awkward" moments. It's so uncomfortable because Mick is caught so off-guard and the awkward silences.

If you read a lot of books you are considered well read. But if you watch a lot of TV, you're not considered well viewed. Lilly Tomlin
Grateful to Alex for Mick, Andy, and McG.

Mick does have really great hair in this episode.
You know, it's interesting that all those reporters don't pick up on the Mick St. John conundrum. His picture is in the book and he doesn't look any older?
