As of 2/16/2010, the City Market has been painted an unfortunate shade of yellow...

The clues to find the location were in the signs across the street .....

It seems that the store has rearranged its stock in the past two years, although it's possible that the snack food was relocated for the shoot.
The wine has been moved from the the far corner (the shelves seen behind the doctor) to the row of shelves which, in the episode, held the snack foods that didn't have any taste.

Mick walks past cooler number 16...

This has been great fun. I've been finding some things that I didn't see in person by searching the internet. For example, Pollock's home above was not one of the houses on the residential streets at Warner Studios backlot, so I wondered if perhaps it might be at the alternate "Warner Ranch" studio location. In perusing the virtual tours on their website, I recognized the house next door.

I just updated the first post with information about the convenience store location.

This one was tough. I ended up using the signs on the auto repair shop in the background as clues to find the market. The most obvious sign was "Mexicali Tires," but searches on that turned up a few locations that didn't pan out. There was also a sign for "One Stop Auto Repair" which yielded similar results. I finally caught a blurry phone number on the large sign to the upper right of the screen and through trial and error I was able to reverse trace it to an Axle Repair service on Vanowen Street. Google Earth confirmed the location.

We are kindred spirits, Lilly. I love puzzles such as this, too. I was always the one at work to whom everyone went when they needed answers to obscure or arcane questions. I enjoyed the research and the hunt for the answer. :friends:
