Yeah, there's lots of Alex-eyebrow-action in the latest promo.

And when he rips that white dress, I think I may have passed out for a few seconds there and had to go back and watch it a few thousand times to make sure what I saw was real...

Thank god I'm not the only one that nearly passed out ....did you notice the expression on his face?? Holy crap!!

Other than that incredible moment, the other thing I noticed later was that previous ads start 'Zoe thought ...' and proceeds to tell the story from Zoe's perspective (hasn't found Mr. Right, needs to go to her 'back-up plan').

The ad last night starts 'Zoe's boyfriend thought...' and proceeds to tell the story from his perspective (what about kids, thought we'd date, then get married, then have kids)

Nice to balance the ads.....

I was somewhat surprised that they showed the fainting scene and the charming little device that causes Stan to lose it

I think they knew their audience last night would be mostly woman. And just as they knew that mostly men would see that Super Bowl ad, I think they knew that selling Alex's sex appeal during the Oscars would get the best response. It sure as hell got a response out of me!

Who's in it: Jennifer Lopez, Alex O'Loughlin

The pitch: A woman (Lopez) decides that even if she can't find Mr. Right, she can still be a mother. Wouldn't you know it, though, as soon as she starts showing symptoms of pregnancy, she meets the man of her dreams (Alex O'Loughlin). Some guys are into pregnant chicks, we hear.

The good news: O'Loughlin is considered a star on the rise, despite two cancelled TV series (Moonlight and Three Rivers). CBS just signed him to star in their remake of Hawaii Five-O.

Director Alan Poul's TV credits includes the terrific Big Love.

And after being so overexposed in the previous decade, Lopez may have laid low long enough to outlast memories of Bennifer.

The bad news: Lopez's iffy track record. Her last romcom was 2005's regrettable Monster-in-Law.

On balance, I think that's pretty positive.

Just had to share...I saw a BUP promo during White Collar the other night - first time I'd seen a promo on a channel that wasn't CBS.

Mr. PNW wasn't nearly as impressed as I was.

Mr. Grace is quite psyched to see the JLo movie...
And he hasn't even seen any promos... just the SNL reference to the movie the other week.
But when he does see a promo, I shall ask him what he thinks. And reluctantly admit that THIS JLo movie actually seems kinda promising... I've been practicing...

I don't have a prayer in of getting my other half to go....which may be just as well. I'm not even sure he knows who JLo is, but he does know who Alex is
