Jason's voice work in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Jason told people awhile ago that he was doing some voice acting for the PSP video game Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. It's released in the US September 7th. Here's a trailer for it, so you can hear him!

You're welcome. If you search for "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep English Gameplay" on youtube, there should be a bunch more clips that pop up and Jason's in several. I don't know anything about the game, nor do I care to, but he's voicing Terra and it seems like a pretty important part.

I listened to the first bit of this last night, and I was having a terrible time trying to hear Jason's voice in it. Just didn't sound like him, much.

However, listening through the whole vid this morning, I do catch his voice coming through much better.

Awesome, there's actually quiet a big Fandom attached to these Games (mainly Slash and Yaoi from the little I've seen of it).

No, it's all part of the one game as far as I know I believe Cloud and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII make an appearance somewhere along the line as well.

Jason voices a character called 'Terra', the others in the group of three friends I believe are Aqua and Ventus. The main pairing is usually Soriku (Sora/Riku), but I don't see them in that trailer. Terra/Ventus seems to be popular, as does Terra/Aqua, and Terra/Ventus/Aqua.

There also appears to be a bit of a market for KH Dojinishis's (amateur printed manga comics, usually Yaoi), and also for Cosplay (Costume Play), and RGP/LARP (Live Action Role Play). I knew the game had a fairly large Fandom, and that it leant towards the more 'batsh*t insane' side of the playing field, but I had no idea it was actually this big. Pity I don't like Yaoi, as a general rule.

Just wanted to mention that a recent search of IMBD says that Jason is reprising his role as Terra in a new Kingdom Hearts game, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

It may be worth noting that Jason was listed first in the cast of the previous Kingdom Hearts game he did voicework for, but in this one he's much further down on the list.

Anyway, the game releases on July 31.
