Re: ML Locations: Episode 14 - Click - update 5/1
On my trip to LA last week, we spent the first 2 nights of our stay aboard the Queen Mary. I booked the largest size suite available because I thought it work work best for a family of four and we needed the living room area for a small meeting on Saturday. I also figured it would approximate the suite used in Moonlight.
We were booked in the Queen Elizabeth suite, M108. Well, as it happens, the brilliant full moon that night was shining on us in more ways than one. M108 turned out to be the exact suite used for Tierney Taylor's stateroom in 'Click."
We realized right away that the layout was the same, but when my son noticed a damaged spot on the side of the desk, we compared it to the video on my iPad and found the same dark spot. We confirmed by comparing the distinctive wood grain patterns on the desk and walls in the room that it was indeed the same suite.

This is the view from where Beth entered. The parition between the suites is closed here, but it would have been open for filming.

You can see the wall sconces in this picture...

The chair and wall art you see in the first screencap would have been brought in by props. The display case was also brought in and was placed in the opening between the two rooms.

Wha'a??? They didn't give you the display case with the rusty artifacts that can double as weapons in a pinch? I'd ask for my money back.
No, seriously, that's so cool that you got THAT room. Did you feel the ghosts of Mick and Beth?

Or Tierney?
Seriously--this trip of yours seems to have been blessed with good fortune of all sorts.
With a couple of ridiculous rainstorms thrown in, just to make it interesting.

Every once in a while, the stars align -- it certainly happened in this case.
I couldn't have requested the room, because the front desk had no record of Moonlight being filmed there. They handed me a sheet of "all" the movies and television shows shot on the ship over the years and ML was completely missing.
I'll be writing a letter to set them straight.

Lilly-
You truly were so fortunate!
What a great pair of eyes to spot the clues (as always).
I LOVED staying there....we talked our way into a suite while the maid was cleaning an empty suite...but it wasn't that one.
Thanks for the photos!

Cool fact --
Today on Facebook, Warner Bros. Studio VIP Tours identified the building used for "Arbor Bistro" as one of great cinematic significance:
