Hadean

Not sure how big this movie will be but at least Alex is doing something else.

Thanks for the info, Rhonda

Wow!! That's going to be quite a departure for Alex. Wonder when he's going to work in filming in Australia.

Australian Film Role for Alex

Post by kath40 »

Thank You em3409 at AOLP for the heads up. :yahoo:
Film role for Five-0′s Alex O’Loughlin

The apocalypse beckons
Films dealing with the apocalypse continue to attract filmmakers. After David Michod's The Rover comes Zak Hilditch's These Final Hours, a lively drama about a man confronting what really matters in the few hours before the world ends, which opens next week. And George Miller has been finishing Mad Max: Fury Road, which is out in May. Nathan Phillips, who stars in These Final Hours, plans to direct his own post-apocalyptic film, Hadean, set in Australia in 2050. “It’s kind of like The Fifth Element meets Star Wars,” he said. Hadean is an adaptation of Phillips' short film Post Apocalyptic Man. “I’ve got so many fabulous friends who are going to be in it like Thomas Wright, Angus Sampson, Alex O'Loughlin and Travis Fimmel," he says. "A lot of good Melbourne boys who’d love to come home.”

Ooh, awesome! :yahoo: I hope he has a great part in it. :teeth: It's nice to see him doing a project in Australia! :highfive:

ETA: Rhonda had already started a thread for Hadean, so I'm going to use my crafty admin powers and combine the two threads into one.

Maybe he grew the beard for this project. I guess in an apocalypse no-one would take the time to shave. :noway:

Or bathe. :noway: The one thing I detest about apocalyptic movies - everyone is so dirty. Does soap get destroyed along with the world? :teeth:

I think it's not so much the soap as the access to sufficient water. (Yeah, I used to watch a lot of those movies, too.)

Can't the future be clean and shiny? :teeth:

BTW, this is one of the reasons I will be absolutely useless in a zombie apocalypse. :teeth:

It always cracks me up that, no matter how dirty and beardy and desperate-looking the cast may be in this type of movie, they still have shiny white teeth. :teeth: ( :snicker: )

Unless it's the bad guy, who sometimes has gross teeth.

So isn't it funny when a show has obviously made up, bleach blonde women where there hasn't been electricity in years?? (I'm trying to remember the show last season...It wasn't Falling Skies....it was the one with no electricity)
