That reviewer was comparatively generous with his D plus. Our local rag reprinted a review from the Fort Worth Star Telegram which called the movie "one long toy commercial" and rated it "F".allegrita wrote:Oh, deeeear... the Transformers movie is getting really abysmal reviews.

Re: Sophia in Transformers 4
Guess which movie led the box office this week with $100 million take?
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2014&wknd=26&p=.htm
And that's just domestic
Foreign take =$201,300,000
So, dismal reviews notwithstanding, I'd say the Transformers' producers are laughing all the way to the bank with their $300 million.

Well there ya have it! Just blow a bunch of stuff up for three hours then sit back and rake in the doe.
I probably will not go to the box office to watch it.
But when it comes out on Netflix or On Demand I'll rent it to see if I can spot Sophia...while they blow some stuff up...for three hours.

Brilliant strategy.
Plus, you can fast forward through the non-Sophia scenes!

I went to see it today. I did enjoy it, more than I thought. I've never seen any of the Transformers but there was enough exposition that I could follow it. Now if you don't like Michael Bay shoot me up, blow them up non stop action don't go see it just for Sophia. She's in the opening scene, then disappears for an hour or more. Shows up for a short scene, disappears and then is back in the third act for a couple of short scenes

Yes thank you Carol.allegrita wrote:Good to know, Carol--thank you!

Sophia may not be in it as much as we had hoped, but at least she is scattered throughout the movie. I'd hate for her to be the "Rick Springfield" of Transformers and die in the first 5 minutes.

The best part of the Movie the opening scene with Sophia!
