The awesome folks who are bringing us the Veronica Mars Movie have done a very good thing.

You may remember a while back that someone opened the @Jason_Dohring account on Twitter, using pictures stolen from Facebook, and then pretended to be Jason. We were fooled for a short while, but Jason's manager confirmed that it was NOT Jason running the account.

The Veronica Mars team has managed to reclaim that account from the imposter and get it verified for Jason's use.

Jason is not using Twitter at the present, and, in fact, may never Tweet at all, but the account is now his and anything that comes from his account will be the real deal.

Maybe, we can follow him and show him a little love.

Well, that's certainly a reason to look at twitter occasionally.

Very wise move to set up a verified account and sit on it.

Even if you don't tweet, it puts a stop to all the counterfeit accounts. Alex would be wise to follow the same model.

Well, people can still set up counterfeit accounts. But at least others can point to the verified one. But it's amazing how gullible people are--they'll follow fake accounts even when there's a verified account!!
