Gripping the handrail, she slowly stepped down from the train. The slight wobble of an expensive heel was the only thing betraying her uncertainty. She steadied herself, taking a breath and clenching slim fingers around the ivory handle of her tiny case, before releasing them - she was more than capable of doing this. It was a simple matter to take a taxi to her bank, collect her money from the safety deposit box, and get out of the city before anyone saw her.Right now, they thought she was dead, but all it would take was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and they'd catch her scent. That wasn't something that she was about to let happen.
The moment of hesitation behind her, she lifted her head and made her way along the bustling platform, dark eyes filled with a new purpose. She'd bide her time, before making Mick realise what he'd done.
