I was at a play last night Napoli Brooklyn. It was a bad and depressing play so I left at intermission but I knew the play took place in 1960 but I didn't know it dealt with the plane crash in Park Slope that I based my whole Forgiveness Sarah Whitley series. At the end of Act 1 each of the characters were at a terrible crossroads in their life and then the lights went out and the stage simulated the plane crash. The sounds, damage to buildings, flashing lights etc. I have to say it scared the hell out of me since I didn't know it was coming up I actually thought it was terrorism. There were signs saying there would be strobe lights and loud noises but in the context of today's world. I was unnerved.
However since that event was so pivotal to a lot of writing I did i wanted to bump this folder. When I was in the lobby they had pictures from the site and articles, one of which saying there was no memorial to the event. That may be true by I have pictures of a memorial to the only person who initially survived the crash. The child died the next day but there is a memorial plaque which I have in the topic of the real life crash. I sent the picture to the theater to let production know.

Oh, Carol, what a shock it must have been for you!
I'm glad you passed on the info about the memorial for the child. And thank you for bumping this folder.

Re: Strange Coincidence
Wow, Carol, that sounds terrifying.
They could have been a little more specific with that warning.
It was nice of you to share the information you had with the theater.
