AOLP is closing it's doors

It's with a heavy heart that I must let y'all know that AOLP is shutting it's doors in less then 4 days.

Sorry for my delay in telling you about this as RL has been very demanding of late.

I don't know how many of you here at MLA are members at AOLP, but maybe this will give you an opportunity to say goodbye and collect contact information with AOLP Alex fans so you can keep in touch.

Moonlight was the spark that fired off our obsession with a very handsome and charismatic Aussy who has blossomed in to a well known TV star, a star we all hoped and knew he would be.

Alyssa has been a fantastic Administrator for the past 11 years and I've enjoyed moderating the site with her. Sadly I have no idea how to maintain and run a site like MLA let alone AOLP. SO sadly we must sail off into the sunset....on our surfboards.

We still keep in touch through FB so maybe y'all can send friend requests to each other to maintain another avenue of contact.

I'm just wondering where else to get my pure "Alex " fix. I already know where to get my Mick fix.

I am pretty bummed out Kath, but Aly’s job at AOLP had to be demanding. 6 Degrees of AOL is an Alex site. I go there more now. You and Aly were amazing.

It makes me very sad that AOLP will be closing, but I understand that RL obligations can make it hard to run a forum, even one that you love. Congratulations to you and Alyssa for a great run. I hope you find a new place to get your Alex fix!! And as you said, you know where to come when you need a Mick fix.

Aly just let me know she doesn't know exactly when AOLP will close. She is thinking August 10th. I'm gonna miss AOLP.

I have been off grid for over a week, and this was certainly a surprised to come home to. Aly and you have kept it going for a long time and have kept up the Alex love. I'm sure it is a demanding undertaking to keep it all up and running.

Yep we are officially closed.

If it's of any comfort Alyssa still maintains an AOLP FB page. It's much more manageable with her busy home life.
