Great characterisation of Mick & Josef in this

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read and comment on this piece. I love this piece to bits for what it doesn't say and what the reader is encouraged to say.
It is always my hope that folks enjoy their stay here and come away mumbling.

The ambiance here is truly amazing.
You do such a fabulous job of helping the reader to see, feel and hear the lonely desolation of this place and this poor creature.
Thank you.

Your writing is always so evocative, and this story weaves a dreamlike, spooky, haunting mood that is tantalizing and mysterious. I wonder if you had a backstory in mind when you wrote it?
It really does raise goosebumps, even on this warm LA fall afternoon.
Such a great ghost story!

Another lovely re read. The descriptions are compelling and eerie, and the whole story is steeped in mystery. So much is left out, but somehow that makes the story even better. The last paragraph is particularly stunning.
