I've been revisiting some of the champagne challenges and this shows how such a small thing can mean so much in war.

This is kind of a Christmas story. According to Wikipedia, the Battle of the Bulge lasted from 16 December 1944 to 28 January 1945, and I choose to interpret this tale as taking place right around Christmas, even though the soldiers don't mention the holiday. It certainly embodies the Christmas spirit! The gift of kindness and innocence (and good food!) in the midst of a frozen war zone is so powerful.
