Thank you Sis and Suz for your astute recommendations... I will proceed to the Liquor Store and peruse the Aussie offerings... and report my choice back to the MLA Wine Club (which includes SS and Fleur and their vodka)... :giggle:

Then we shall all imbibe together... and hopefully because we are happy... I know I'm being a party pooper... but I won't really believe it until it's announced... officially... by the same Powers Who Killed the Vampire. :crabby:
Grace, you can't go wrong with Rosemount Shiraz (yes, it's Australian!). I bought it for a party at work a couple of years ago and everybody loved it! It's a red, but a smooth red. I'm usually not a red wine drinker but I really enjoyed this one.

You're not being a party pooper Hon! We had a horrific jolt last year at this time and it's not easy to shake-off! I'm lovin' the reports but won't be breathing that deep sigh of relief until Wednesday afternoon.

And totally gonna go buy me an Aussie wine... gotta be an Aussie one this time around, no doubt!
Grace, I highly recommend Yellow Tail Riesling or Shiraz. Both are awesome Aussie wines and are not very expensive. You can get them at the supermarket. :thanks:

The Riesling is my personal favorite. :snicker:
I concur!! YellowTail Shiraz is my wine of choice!! Cheers!! :redwine: ...clink,clink...

We were so blindsided last year, no one thought Moonlight would be cancelled. CBS sent Alex all over Europe to promote the show; why would they spend that much money on a show they were going to cancel? Ten or twelve million votes for best new drama in the PCA's, etc.. I'm waiting for Wednesday afternoon holding my vodka bottle no more than three feet from the couch.

Wine gives me a headache, if I am going to have a headache I might as well have a royal one. I am breaking out the Cabo Wabo with some salt and lime!! Whoo Hoo!!! It's been a long brutal year!! Alex has grabbed on to a shooting star and he is heading straight up! Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy!   :drinking:

Here's one more confirmation, grace..maybe this will make you feel better!! It comes from tvguide.com on Twitter..their site hasn't been upgraded yet..this just in 10 min ago:

CBS picks up seven new series for 2009-10, including Alex O'Loughlin medical drama and shows starring Jenna Elfman and Julianna Margulies

How about we hold a party right here on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight EST (that's 6 p.m. PST)? Once CBS confirms it, we can start a congratulations Alex thread (so think about what you want to say to him between now and then). We can then send a message to Alex on his my space page with a link to the thread. We in?

Tho the party thread and the congratulations thread should be two separate threads... I really really think that would be wise...

MLA girls + wine+ chat about Alex= not something you want to SEND to Alex... :snicker:

A separate Congrats thread would, hopefully, be visited by all once... before over celebrating...

I'm sure Phoenix will appreciate the courtesy of being asked before anything from her board is linked somewhere else.
