Glenda? Nah. Pink isn't my colour.
Now we just need to hope that the aforementioned Answer Bitch (i.e. she who stole my dream job) comes up with the goods on Alex.
Red
Well if she doesn't give
Fleur an answer, she really is a bitch...

Back, sounds a lot like Alex, and sounds like the show he was pitching. IMO that is "his" show, but it kinda scares me, because that is not a show CBS likes to wine and dine. If this is the show he was pitching I hope like heck, CBS backs him this time. If they don't, I would rather see him in a NCIS spinoff, because CBS, like it or not, does it right with those kind of shows (one week in December 7 out of the top ten shows were CBS's). So in our "perfect world" if this is Alex's show, CBS better ante up big time, for our's and their's favorite vampire, because of all the cast of Moonlight I still can't believe this guy doesn't have a new series yet.

Well ladies, the ML entertainment reporter has been busy. I emailed Maureen Ryan, the television entertainment reporter for the Chicago Tribune, and she is out of the office until Feb 3. I received an auto-reply from her, and I know she has a reputation for responding, so, keep your fingers, toes, knees, eyes, crossed.

I am right with you on keeping those things crossed, but since my Super Bowl party on Sunday I am still having a hard time feeling some of those extremities. The onset of major middle age, sucks.

Let's just hope that Alex went back to Oz for that long break because he's already said yes to a show and it was to recharge his batteries before he starts filming in earnest {fingers firmly crossed}.

Well, I did receive a response from Maureen Ryan (Mo--it's gotta be a sign!)television critic/guru at the Chicago Tribune concerning my question about Alex.
Here is my question to her:
Hey Maureen!! I read your column regularly, and find that many of the shows you prefer, are favorites of mine as well. ( speaking of, The Office "cat toss" had me in hysterics, too!) On behalf of many disappointed Moonlight fans, (yes, there are still a lot of us out here) have you heard anything new about Alex O'Loughlin? I am a member of an online ML site, and we have not had any news concerning his career in a very long time. Last we were aware, he had signed a holding contract with CBS, and was working on developing a show to pitch to them. Is there any possiblity of him being involved in one of the shows CBS is presenting at up-fronts? Any info you could give me, no matter how trivial, would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work.
And here is her response:
Hi Lisa, I have not heard anything about developments with Alex but will keep a lookout for info along those lines!
take care,
Mo
So, there you have it. Discuss.

I sent her a note back thanking her for her rapid response. She is very good, and when she likes a show, will campaign hard for it. I don't know whether her not having any new info is good or bad.
Still staying positive.

If those are CBS's choice pilots then why hang onto Alex without offering him a role in one of them? He's got the goods- he's got the style to fit into any of those shows. Neither do I believe that Alex is so picky that he would turn them down. He's a working actor and a realist. He still needs to establish a name. Any of these shows gives him that opportunity.
I believe he was offered a role. Doesn't make sense to keep him cooling his heels. CBS honchos saw something in him. If they can have one hot Aussie, why not two? It's all win-win, IMO. And then hopefully the pilot gets picked up!

Here are the questions that we at Aussieslovemoonlight asked Alex's Aussie agent Nathan, this is the reply we received yesterday,it doesn't give us any more answers but I thought you might find it interesting, his answers are pasted at the end of each quetion.
What is the new show that Alex is working on with Simon Mirren about? I don't
have details but this is no longer being considered by CBS
What type of show is it - crime drama, genre type etc? Have you seen the pilot
episode? pilot wasn't shot- I believe it had a crime element but not too sure as
it was put on ice by CBS
Has the new show been picked up by any network or are any networks showing
particular interest ? see above
What general plans has Alex got for his acting career in the US or even here in
Australia? he would love to do more tv and film in both countries - just waiting
to see what arises
What other interesting Alex news do you have as we have endured this Alex drought
for way too long now ?he's back in LA and working with CBS on a couple of ideas,
but nothing definite yet.
