LOL! I think we're getting our shows mixed up here. Dr. Andy Yablonski is going to be on Three Rivers, not Criminal Minds. ;)

It depends...usually, it would start the week before the episode airs, with the 'Stay tuned for scenes from the next Criminal Minds', then show the promo throughout the week.

If they want to make a big deal out of Alex's return to TV, they may start sooner....

What I'm hoping for is some 'unofficial' promo showing up on YouTube...
You mean some of those so-called unauthorized "leaked" videos? That would be nice! I'm hoping for some interviews too! ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease

And as always....an Alex bog would be amazingly awesome! (hint hint....*ahem*...;) )

They've dressed him up exactly like a serial killer would be profiled. White male, 25-35, average looks (no way!), average intelligence, the guy next door, the one you'd least expect. Thats him! He's acting his a$$ off already and he hasn't spoken a word!
Did he ever have to speak, Susan? He had me at Image :hearts:

It's really so wonderful to have something to get excited about...fanfic aside. It's been a long time and I hope we get a really long ride this time.
I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts. It's electrifying. And thanks to Alex for being the source of that electricity!

Alex is indeed in a good place now. He is confident, ready for new adventures, gets the attention he deserves.
And I know he feels the love and support of his fans.
I just dropped a note on the site that provided the new pics and couldn't believe the first comment. :grumble:
The rest were very positive. My two cents were that "supporting Alex is what a real ML fan does"

I am really looking forward to this episode of CM. After this week's episode, the show has guts, it makes you check your front and back door locks before you go to bed. You just have to wonder where Alex is going to take this part. It almost makes me afraid how far he can take this character.

I agree about the show....but if Alex's character is as described, he wants to stop and he's given the BAU something to catch him. What could be really interesting is since this episode is from the unsub's POV, we'll get a look into the serial killer's mind. That could be frightening and I can only imagine what Alex could do with it.

darkstarrising, I agree the killer wants to stop, and does that end in death. Not quit sure if I want to see that! The pictures we have see, even as a serial killer you kinda of what to hide him in your basement. If he is really nasty and creepy, and you are wishing him dead. There is no upside to this! He is totally playing a gutsy role.

He is breaking the mold, after this Mick St. John is no more. He is showing his talent here. IMO this is a statment for this actor, I can play any role. and do it well.

I totally agree that Alex deliberately chose this role. Its as far from the angst-ridden, heart of gold Mick St. John as you can get. It will showcase his diversity as an actor and hopefully (in his mind perhaps) distance himself a bit from Moonlight and Mick. To be a successful actor, which is what he's got to want to be, he cannot be forever linked to one role. Or at least I don't think thats what he would want. Some actors are forever known for a particular role they played. And thats all well and good, but it has to make it extremely difficult for them to garner interest or an audience for anything other than that role that made them famous. So, first up a serial killer...then he's tackling the role of transplant doctor. And I would hazzard a guess another totally different look. Go Alex! I think your fans will be happy with your career choices and if not, well then don't you worry about it. He's got to do his own thing, carve out his own future. We're all just along for the thrill ride! ;)

I agree that he will be showcasing his talents to a broader network TV audience, but already, Alex O'Laughlin has a broad variety of characters behind him. If you want truly frightening, Michael Carter fills that bill nicely. Sexy? Kevin Hiatt and Mick St. John are hard to beat. He can do historical period pieces (Mary Bryant), play a street tough guitarist (August Rush).

So really, a serial killer may be new to a broader audience, and the CM character (Vincent) as we've seen him so far is quite different from Michael Carter, but is well within Alex's abilities.

Alex is an actor, one that needs to stretch beyond what he's done to continue to grow. Some won't like his serial killer character, Vincent, while others may be turned off by Andy Yablonski. That's their prerogative. Me? I'll give them each a shot and reserve my judgments until later.

But is Mick St. John going to be no more? Only if Alex wants him to be.

That was really nicely put, Susan. I agree with you. And so many people know him ONLY as MIck... he does need to separate from that at least a little bit...

I agree and my head understands the logic..but, I'll tell you, if "Vincent" ends up dying in CM..I'll be crying for Mick too... :hankie:

Any bets on a split personality? (no, not schizophrenia).
