Lisa, I think you mean Before Sunrise and Before Sunset - that was Julie Delpy.

Seems to me, if the name starts with a "J.u.l.i."--I just automatically assume they are one in the same! Please throw be a bone and tell me that at the very least they are all European actresses!

Yes - Julie Delpy and Juliette Binoche are French; Julia Ormond is English.

Since it appears that Alex is confirmed, I've just updated the title of this thread to something that makes more sense. Thanks for the suggestion, Red!

I don't exactly care for how this guy wrote this; maybe he's a Julia Ormond fan.
Anyway, FYI...

PITTSBURGH — The CBS pilot “Three Rivers” will start filming Thursday at Duquesne University.
The medical drama, starring Julia Ormond, also plans to use Brownsville Hospital in Fayette County. The show’s producers also had considered the former Aliquippa Hospital, which is currently mired in bankruptcy proceedings.
“Three Rivers” is set at a Pittsburgh hospital that performs organ transplants, with the drama unfolding from the points of view of the doctors, donors and recipients.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ormond will play the head surgeon. The show also features Australian actor Alex O’Loughlin from CBS’s “Moonlight.”

It's nice to see info on where they're filming, but I'd bet money this writer has no idea what the story is about or who's playing what. All he might know is that he recognizes Julia Ormond's name and doesn't know anything about Alex or what part he'll play.mwj01 wrote:I don't exactly care for how this guy wrote this; maybe he's a Julia Ormond fan.Anyway, FYI...

Re: CBS pilot: Three Rivers -- links, articles and discussion
The writer skewed the actual facts because Julia Ormond is a 'name'. However, to say it "features" Alex is to diminish his role and who needs that if other writers pick up on it? He will play the head of the transplant team, no small potatoes, and where the action is. I imagine her role will be like Cuddy's on 'House'.mwj01 wrote:I don't exactly care for how this guy wrote this; maybe he's a Julia Ormond fan.Anyway, FYI...

But it's great they have a more known name, tho ironically I have heard of him and seen everything HE's in, but apparently have never seen her in anything... so to me, he's the name...

That's my perception as well, lafluffy. No small part, but certainly not the center of attention.lafluffy wrote:The writer skewed the actual facts because Julia Ormond is a 'name'. Re: CBS pilot: Three Rivers -- links, articles and discussion
KDKA (local CBS affiliate) just covered the Three Rivers filming and said the filming at Brownsville hospital is going to start tomorrow. They didn't mention Alex though, just Julia Ormond.
But at least it's good they're covering it.
