Aaaaaahhh...that was so incredible! :cheering: I still have a lump in my throat and my eyes are welling-up just thinking about it! Alex was so excellent, as we knew he would be! This was even better than I expected! The acting, from everyone really, the story...it was awesome! And I'm so glad he didn't get blown away at the end. Every single scene with Vincent and Stanley packed a punch! And now for shallow me...my head is still spinning from viewing him in those long johns! That is a HOT bod right there! :happysigh:

Good question!
My quess would be that the psychotic break came while he was with his mother for many, many hours. He relived that moment everyday and, as an adult, literally watched his mother's killing all the time on a timed loop. He would kill on the anniversary of her death. In his mind, it may have brought his mother back to him, for at least a bit of time. He stared into his mother's eyes as she died. Thats what he did with the other women. But someone more versed in this stuff can probably give us an hypothosis as to why he killed, how he selected his victims, what type of satisfaction he got from the kills. Euw! I think I just scared myself!

Now its off to bed to have sweet dreams of the smokin'est hot serial killer its ever been my pleasure to drool over! :woohoo:

OK, now that I've gotten myself under semi-control. How hot was Alex? Sheesh, the very first shot in bed without glasses? Just kill me right now. And he actually managed to make long johns look sexy!

How did he manage to lose himself in that role as well as he did? The only time I saw a resemblance to Mick St. John was when he was accosted by the two guys in that alley and he looked back at one of them. The rest of the time he was Vincent. He was creepy and yet you felt so sorry for him at the same time. He says he inhabits his roles 24/7 so while he was shooting this episode he walked around as Vincent all the time. How painful must that have been?

He's such a talented actor. Give him a show already CBS!

The eyes definitely had it in this episode. I heartily agree about trying to make a connection with the eyes of the women he killed--it was if he was looking for his mother in each of them. All that focus on what he saw in their eyes, and here the one who had the power to change him, couldn't use his eyes.

I haven't been this emotionally attached to a character since this show I used to watch called Moonlight. (Maybe you've heard of it?)

It was creepy, but not scary in a nightmare kind of way. That's why I stopped watching CM; it was so bloody and violent and kept scaring the beejeebers out of me! This one didn't. Just the right amount of blood and violence without overdoing it. Creepy, but made me cry for the killer at the end.

Amazing job!

I think I might send off a little love to CBS and let them know how much I enjoyed tonight's episode of CM.

Oh, Fleur! Great analysis! I picked up on the staring in the victim's eyes as he stared at his dead mother's, but totally missed the significance of reaching out to Stanley, who couldn't see.

I love getting other's viewpoints! I always learn something that I missed.

So his last moments were with his dying Mom and he keep trying to find her again by watching other blond women die. Ok, I guess.

According to the Criminal Minds fanatic blogspot, last week's ep had 13.72 million viewers though it was shown an hour later than usual. Let's see how much the numbers go up this week!

Are you getting any sense from the CM fans what they thought of this episode?

Most are saying that they loved the episode. Most enjoyed Alex's performance and of course, there's a few who thought he wasn't anything special. Obviously those people need psychiatric help. ;)
