I totally agree that drinking the milk from the carton was odd for Vincent... but I really think it was a sign of his extreme distress. He had a mortal wound. He did not enjoy "normal" outlets for expressing, or even feeling, emotions, which apparently even included pain, cause look at how oddly he under-reacted at the moment of the bullet's impact.... so I think this was sorta an instinctive act to try to feel better.... get it down, get it down fast. He must have been dehydrating from loss of blood... plus he seems to have taken a shower, which would dehydrate him further in this circumstance. It was, for him, an extreme reaction to an extreme (mortal, fatal) circumstance. And to me... milk is a kid's drink. He was kinda regressing... don't ALL men regress to children when hurt or sick?
AND he meant to get to the boy, no matter what. So instinct took over to a certain extent.
And the bread thing doesn't seem that weird to me... that does make sense with Vincent, IMO.... that bread (and its plastic wrapping) was a ritualistic thing for him. Now he's shot, he probably can't eat it... he doesn't feel well enough and he's shot in the tummy, right?... so he uses it for comfort... cause it's not like it really stopped the bleeding. It just seemed he turned to his bread and plastic and did SOMETHING with them, even if it wasn't his usual something. For the contact...
I suppose it is impossible to really know what goes on in the mind of someone like Vincent..why he does the things he does. I'd bet that even a professional profiler like Susie's friend gets stumped once in awhile. And, he did say that Vincent was "off profile"..so, guess we just chalk it up to his bein' "crazy"..as the writers put it!
plus he seems to have taken a shower
SEEMS to have taken a shower?? Don't tell me that you didn't do a little "squee" when you saw WET ALEX again!! (I know I did and I'm a Jo-ho!)

Yeah... but it was wet Vincent... and he just didn't have... that Alex/Mick/Kevin/Jack somethin-somethin. Plus the boy had been shot... I was worried (with good reason as it turned out) that he was hurt bad... given all the blood on the floor.
Sorry... do I lose my Alex fan club card now????

This may have been discussed already, but I'm behind the times. Sorry!
Anyway, when the CM crew are talking after Alice is found, they find out his name is Vincent. Then, later on in the show, when the mom talks to Shemar Moore and Joe Mantegna's characters, they mention Vincent and she says she knows him. So Shemar Moore calls into the CM headquarters and tells the other CM people his name.
Um...they already knew his name. Duh. They knew it in the alley with Alice after they talked to the camera store guy.
Did I miss something? Perhaps they were just making a 100% connection with the boy, but I found it wierd.
[Shallow alert]Love the hand art (heh) when he has his hand on his side at the amusement park. Must get screencap![/shallow alert]

In follow up to WG's question, how did the BAU team know that it was Vincent who killed Alice? She didn't fit the profile of his other victims. It was too convenient for the BAU to pinpoint Vincent's vicinity where they found Alice's body.

I may have to convert the video or something. When I try to make caps with Windows Media, Quicktime or Real Video, it comes out as just a black cap. I checked iTunes, Hulu and YouTube, but can't find any good HQ videos to make caps.

I'll see what I can do, but looks like some other wonderful, fantastic people made some caps. THANK YOU!

I figured it out!! The things you learn on the net, I swear. LOL Here is a cap. I didn't clean it up or lighten it, sorry! I was excited that I capped it at all from this video.

Now, I know how to make caps from certain videos.

Grace, I think that was left over from when there were two couples Vincent encountered after he left his SUV in that neighborhood: the young man and the old man in the wheelchair, and a middle-aged couple who were leaving the open house. It makes sense for the couple to have made a connection to the realtor's death and remembered Vincent, but less sense the way it was portrayed when filmed. But I figure they saved time and money but combining the two couples into one.

You reckon she tried to fight him off? I mean, he had to go get his killing glasses... why didn't she run back out the door while he was in the bedroom? Or you reckon he went ahead and killed her without his proper glasses... cause I'm guessing THAT woulda made him reallllly nuts...
That one is harder to judge. In the script (and as filmed), Vincent is getting more and more panicked the longer Alice is there. Maybe he changed to his killing glasses (love the term, btw) and maybe he just dragged poor Alice into the kitchen, grabbed the knife, and stabbed her. Once he's got the knife, he doesn't hesitate in the whole stabbing thing. One "oof" and the person's got a big old hole in their heart. So poor Alice wouldn't have stood much of a chance even if she did figure out she was in trouble. But yeah, I sure would run out that door if I had a chance!
One more creeeeeeeeepy thing. The knife he uses for killing--is that the same one he uses to cut his sandwich!? Because, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew. Especially since he doesn't seem to wash it--he just wipes it off!!!

I wanted to say that this makes total sense to me,
Grace. I think he did it out of a need for something resembling his routine, because he was so hurt and so out of his depth. Poor Vincent...

(And
oh wow, Alex--how
do you get me to sympathize with a brutal, creepy serial killer?!?!)

Going back a bit to wet Alex:

I knew he'd cleaned up and was changing - didn't realize he'd showered. (I've only seen it once as broadcast, as usual.)
But for me the bread and the cling wrap made a kind of sense. When I saw him in that bathroom with dirty clothes and blood on the floor, the same bathroom where he had a separate pair of slippers, I knew he'd be upset at the mess he'd made. Putting in the bread plugs and adding the wrap looked like an attempt to keep more blood from staining his underwear. My cousin's son used to hate to play outside because if he got a grass stain or a drip from the sprinkler on him, he had to go inside and completely change his clothes. He had to be perfectly clean and perfectly groomed at all times. Good thing he never thought of saran wrap or he would have encased himself in it.

Man it is cool you have that script!!!! Thanks,
Alle!
And
WONDERCHRISTY!!! Excellent screen cap honey! He looks so childlike in that scene. Bless his heart! How DOES he make us love a creepy serial killer? But look at his face in the cap at the theme park! I mean, sense of wonder... innocent looking! How do you NOT just want to hug him?

Weird, huh? Some folks actually watch an episode only once and hardly think of it again...strange..don't know who these folks are...
