Yay Sister! :hyper2:

Between you and SS, I guess we do have proof that he IS in the movie... and he looks fine... :happysigh:

...and I guess I WILL drag my reluctant self to see it... if only for those few moments... oh I have so learned how to spell obsession this past couple years...

Last night, I watched New in Town, Renee Zellweger/Harry Connick, Jr. rom-com set in Minnesota in winter. In the extras, the actors, director, and some crew discussed filming in Winnipeg in January with temps running close to 60 below. They all said it was so cold that the cameras froze and lenses broke during filming so they had to do scenes they thought were finished all over again.
Connick talked about acting ("trying to look graceful") with 12 layers of clothes on. They talked about beard-cicles and nose-cicles. Renee said filming one scene her hairdresser's eyelashes froze together and said "any normally moist area" exposed to the cold for a few minutes soon had a 'cicle' attached to it.

I so hope the Whiteout dvd has extras.

And here's tengossip's take on things: http://tengossip.com/2009/08/19/whiteou ... oloughlin/

While I have no particular view on Kate Beckinsale, I am certainly not to argue about Alex being one of the most beautiful people in the world... :happysigh: :happysigh: :happysigh: :happysigh: :happysigh: :happysigh: :happysigh:

Four new TV promos have turned up online and you can find them here: http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/to ... p?id=11488

The shot of Alex above appears in the first one. There might be other shots of him in the others but, um, it's hard to tell. There is a scream that sounds a lot like him.....

Given all the problems and delays, I had really low expectations for this movie, but I confess, the promos are doing a good job of making it look good. I particularly like the strap line, "See your last breath."
