Silvana~~Bless your heart!! Alex looked and sounded wonderful, and as I missed the Fall Preview show (though it sounds as if I didn't miss much) this link was greatly appreciated. Really need to learn to watch more tv, I suppose--esp. CBS!

To play devil's advocate for Doogie: I am sure he just reads what is put in front of him and pronounces names as he is told to-- the higher-up nitwits couldn't even pronounce Alex's last name---for his own show for Bob's sake!! (and it only proves that Doogie playing a young genius was sadly, just a role)

The simplest solution would be for Alex to go the way of Cher and Madonna. Perhaps after the success of 3R and the throngs of fans garnered after the release of BUP, everyone will not only know how to correctly say his first and last names, there will be a plethora of people just sighing the name: Alex!

I'd pay somebody to sit in the Emmy audience, and if dear Neil does, once again, mispronounce it, yell out "It's O'locklin, you twit."

Even so, I'm sure Doogie would have a witty retort.

I don't mean to bash Neil, he was great at the Tony awards and I honestly can't wait to see what he does for / to the Emmys. I'm just have this hangup about getting Alex's name right.

Yea-ahs, Grace, NELL PEDRO out-cheesed himself tonight. Wait for it.... Of course, we could just rally outside the Emmys with a bunch of signs indicating the correct pronunciation. I seem to remember we got some attention this way once before.

I liked the new scenes with Alfre in them. At least those scenes seemed less "soapy."

And yes, I too vote for TV Guide to handle his promotion/publicity. They seem to cover Alex as much as we do (or maybe that should be: as much as we UNcover him ).
