Well, we went down again, and then came back up. We've received a VERY apologetic e-mail from the web host, saying they have several technicians working on the underlying problem with their servers. So if you can spare a good thought, send one to the technicians, so that they'll fix this annoying issue and we can go back to doing what we do best: loving Moonlight.

Edited: to remove capital 'S' in shelburne bc I've decided that capitalizing the name gives it way too much importance.

I'm sure you are all as sick of this as we are...

We were down for about an hour this afternoon (LA time), but seem to be back. We haven't heard from the web host yet, so I don't know if this is a temporary or a permanent fix... we'll keep everyone apprised here, and at the Motel if the board goes down again.

Fingers crossed that whatever the problem is, it's fixed for good this time!

Hi everyone,

Popping in because I got an update from the web host today. They found a hardware issue that seemed to be causing the board crashes, replaced the faulty unit, and have been monitoring it closely for several days. They think the issue is resolved!

So thank you VERY much for your patience, and let's hope the board will be much more stable from now on!

Hi all,

I've put in a report with the web host. They are looking into it and hopefully they will be able to fix it fast.

The web host has found the problem and fixed it. The issue had to do with a limit on the number of simultaneous connections to the database, and they raised the limit so it should not happen again.

It is noticeably faster now. Thanks!

Hi! I have a problem sending pms? I write a pm, click Send but it won't go..
