Alex once remarked in an interview early on that his ML pilot competed with 5000 other pilots. I guess we now understand what he meant. Image

In all honesty, every show every year; whether it's a pilot or an ongoing series; never knows if it is going to be around for sure the following year (except maybe American Idol. :evillaugh: )

I feel the pain all actors, crew, writers, et.al. must be going through.

PLUS you have to hope other shows tank or don't get picked up so yours can continue or be picked up; and you may very well have friends on those competing shows.

Last year we wanted our show renewed; we were on the other side of the fence, so to speak.

Now we want someone's else's show canceled so TR can get on.

Pain any way you look at it.
And after all that, there is no guarantee your show will run even 4 episodes, if it doesn't get viewers.

So glad I am not in that business. :noway:

Teaching was stressful enough for me. :getclue:

I know I spoke to Trevor about pilots as well. He said to even get your pilot read by an executive is a feat worth celebrating. I wonder how long the Three Rivers pilot has been kicking around Hollywood? Trevor tried for several years, I think, to garner interest in his screenplay/script. Can you imagine how many people have invested their time, energy, and love, not to mention money, to get Three Rivers to where it is right now? Sheesh! Nope. I've said it 100 times. No way in hell I could do it. I'll stick to catching the bad guys and keeping the free world safe. Its a hell of a lot easier!

Saving lives is a cakewalk in comparison to the stress in the entertainment industry!

The guy who came up with the idea of 3R is a former transplant coordinator at the University of Chicago Hosptal. I believe that he went to USC undergrad and had some connections in Hollywood.

Well, now it seems, at least according to The Hollywood Reporter, as if CBS is now leaning more towards The Eastmans, rather than TR.

In the battle of CBS' three medical dramas, "The Eastmans" is said to have the edge for the moment.

What.The.....

Where did that come from?...The Eastmans?!!!!!

That hasn't even been mentioned before as a contender! I give up...I'm going to bed with my blankie and I'm not sticking my head out from under the covers until the 21st. I'll get my daughter to check the boards and if TR isn't picked up, I'm not getting out of bed. Ever.... :baby:

Totally agree Mandy - I thought Miami Trauma was the biggest competitor - that and cancelling enough shows to fit it in.

This is crap, crap, crap.

I hope this isn't going to be a repeat of last year...all good news...and then BAM...it all turned to SH*T!! :hankie:

:banghead: What crap, The Eastmans and U.S. Attorney never even heard of these shows untill this week, and now they are contenders. Still hope that TR does have a chance this fall, if not, I do hope CBS has plans of OKing this pilot for mid-season or even at least a summer replacement show. I just :Mickangel: can't believe that CBS does not realize Alex's potential to be that break-out actor after the CM episode and him getting the lead in the Back Up Plan. What will be, will be, and I am to old for this sh...., and after watching the Pens and Capital's last night and then reading this, I am so going to start knitting, gardening, scrap booking, redecorate my house, and just stay away from TV.
