Ok, so enlighten me, my knowledgeable Beauty. His stuff seems a little... Swishy? Fussy? Not totally masculine? Extreme aristocrat?... To me. Maybe it's just some pieces. Maybe it's his choice of models. Maybe it's because there's not a lot of it in the Provinces, so I'm missing the good stuff, cos yeah, not much in stores here.

Now, I will admit, on Alex, his stuff would automatically look masculine and his cuts seem to suit Alex's tall slim self...

Cos if I gotta start negotiating a deal with a designer, I wanna pick the right one...

Ha! The reason I'm such a Zegna fan is the Italian cut - very different from a French, US or UK cut - slim at the shoulder, narrower lapels, lower break. Just perfect for Alex.

And just a little bit off mainstream.

Here I am having my morning java, checking out the Ermenegildo Zegna site! I was aware of this designer (have walked past his store in Chicago, but never entered) but wasn't familiar with his particular style.

I can see why you think Alex could model his clothing, red. It is a bit on the funky side...in the sense that his suits are not strictly structured, basic pieces. There is a bit of interesting flair and personality, and having seen some of Alex's past fashion choices, I could see him fitting into this realm. Alex can be all over the place with his fashion choices, and I think that type of personality would make him perfect for him being a Zegna spokesman. Alex doesn't take that sort of thing seriously, but whatever he puts on, is worn well. With perfect proportions like he has,it's impossible for him to not look amazing.

Granted, Zegna's male models are much more androgynous than Alex, but we've all seen Alex make a flowery shirt look manly. His slim body type is perfect for this type of fashion.

I'd also say that while a lot of his stuff is ready to wear, his speciality is bespoke. I'm swooning just thinking about it.

I do love that second pic, Red.

Not only is the suit very nice on him but I love the super short hair and beard together.

I never posted many of those pics because so many people don't seem to like that look and it made 'em go kind of squirly. I LOVE it - I think he looks amazing. In one of the close ups he's just SO sparkly-eyed, it's breath-taking:

Well I thank you. I'm most definitely not squirly over these and I think it's a great look for him. I have always been partial to a bearded look for Alex. His eyes do really stand out in these pics.
