I'd like to add at this time that it is heart-warming to see Google alerts pop up about Alex's new gig...just this a.m. in French, Spanish, German and English! Yes, the Alex love is felt worldwide!

A few more thoughts. Not sure if this has been mentioned here, because I've been reading comments re: this until my head's going to implode. But in a good way!

In answer to your questions: I have already stated, they BETTER show the tats--no reason not to--esp. since he is going to be playing a serial killer--unless they are posing him as some Ted Bundyish (shivers) character--you know, the incredibly gorgoeus guy that can easily lure his victims in. (and do they have auditions for that, I am wondering!)

Very good exposure, and I am sure that is one big reason for both CBS and Alex to do this.

No chance in hell shaking off MSJ--ever. But, I think they are looking to see what kind of uptick they will have in ratings that week. Let's not disappoint them, ok?

ITA about ever shaking off MSJ, but what they may be working for is letting Alex show the breadth of his ability. Most of the American mainstream TV audiences know him from the Shield (good cop, bad boy), Moonlight (good guy) and maybe brief appearances in August Rush and the Invisible. Not many are familiar with Oyster Farmer or Mary Bryant roles...and it's a fair guess to say fewer yet have heard of, let alone seen, Feed.

I'm hoping they let him have at this role - let him run with it to the fullest....if his performance is well received, that only increases demand for his services....

As for supporting him by watching CM, o yeah...I think his fans will be there in droves.

ITA Lisa! And I hope CBS promotes the hell out of it! I'm not familiar with CM, but surely his serial killer will have depth and some sympathetic qualities. Alex has such range; it's just got to!

I think playing a bad guy on this show may, while NEVER shaking Mick, give him exposure and fans among male viewers... ML was clearly mostly a woman audience... so if he can double his fan base in one fell swoop, more the better for him...

And they seem to promote that show a lot... so guessing they will with AOL too... hoping anyway....

But my big fear, and i do have one-- y'all have met me right?-- is that this is them worming out of their contract with him... they couldn't agree on a starring role so they all settled for this...

In which case, Fleurette and I need to fire up our Ice-Skating, Swimming, Crime-Fighter script again....
