I don't think Alex is going to be creepy in this, I think I just read somewhere on TV guide, that he is helping them or he asked them for help. Did any one else hear this or did I dream it?mwj01 wrote:Well, maybe they can get the creepy ones out the way to make way for Alex's debonair serial killer.

You are correct. ETA: Just found it nayp:
Matt Mitovich's Mega Minute: CM boss Ed Bernero sheds a wee bit of light on Alex’s role:
"Alex is playing a killer whose life is unexpectedly changed by an incident, which prompts him to reach out to the BAU team for 'help'."

I found it interesting, as did Matt Mitovich, that the CM exec put HELP in quotation marks. Hmmmmm....sounds like a mystery right there, huh?mwj01 wrote:You are correct. I just wish the damned show didn't play opposite Lost, which is what I usually watch. But you can bet in April I'll be tuning in CBS instead!

If he does play creepy, I guarantee it will be the sexiest creep we've ever had the pleasure of viewing!

Am watching it right now (West coast), for the first time. I'm forcing myself. Looks like straight procedural to me, CBS variety. It needs someone like Alex to make it interesting character-wise. This killer is not getting much airtime, either . So far.nayp wrote:Speaking of serial killers, did anyone watch CM for the first time tonight.

This was a one dimensional killer IMO this week. Usually they have a little more "personality." However, if these are based on BAU files, they will run the gamut.
Let's just say that Alex will "rock the socks" off of any actor who has portrayed an unsub in CM.

I have been having a bit of trouble accepting that a CM spin-off involving Alex's character from this episode is anywhere near believable because serial killers aren't redeemable and how can one get his own show? Let's face it, Dexter's been done already. (Not that I'm saying there will BE a spin-off from this eppy, but you know we're gonna think it anyway).
But Midnight Louie (Pam) brought up a good point. It was Ausiello who said that Alex would be a 'serial killer', but Ed Bernero just specified 'killer'. Ausiello often gets his facts wrong and if Alex's character is just a killer, then there are plenty of people who have killed who can be remorseful, so that gives me some hope that maybe this character could become spin-off material.

LOL!!!!!! Oh good lord we will stretch logic and parse every inference, will we not? Which is more believable... a serial killer that gets his own show, a plain old killer that gets his own show... or a serial killer that copies a serial killer that already HAS his own show? Ya know, it's Hollywood... any of it could happen. Or the good looking awesome actor could get dumped by the network again... anything is possible, but hopefully not that last one.
And MM!!! Good to see you here again... and this is just for you!!!!

Grace, unless we are on some "fan tease" ride at Disney World this last week, I am going with MoonMad here. This sounds to much like what Alex was talking about months ago with this redemption thing. Even if this isn't a spin-off thing and Alex is looking at a new series with CBS, CM can't make him look to creepy, dark and little evil maybe, creepy could be really bad for him with a whole different bunch of new viewers. Grace you can hit me with awpgrace wrote:MoonMad wrote:I have been having a bit of trouble accepting that a CM spin-off involving Alex's character from this episode is anywhere near believable because serial killers aren't redeemable and how can one get his own show? Re: Exclusive: 'Moonlight' vamp Alex O'Loughlin Returns to CBS 2
nayp--agreeing with you. Again. The redemption angle definitely fits, however, it fit that other series "Back" that CBS is pitching at May upfronts. Anyone have any new info on that?
The good news is that there are opportunities for Alex. Sounds to me like he had some choices, which is wonderful for him. And that translates as wonderful for us.
If he is a 'killer'--that could cover so many different scenarios, that I don't want to contemplate for fear of making my head spin even more. It could have been a crime of passion, accidental, or he killed someone, served his time, and is trying to rehabilitate himself. Ugh. I just contemplated, didn't I? Can't seem to help myself.
Soon, we will have more details. I imagine that they will be filming that episode rather soon, hence, more news regarding it.
One more thing worth noting, Dexter has been very popular and is an incredibly well-written show, though I will admit last season wasn't as stellar as the previous ones. If Dex is beloved, I could totally get behind the concept of a gorgeous killer!

Laughing again!!!! But I am laughing with you, not at you!
nayp and Fleur... you are just proving my point! We will parse and speculate and discuss any little tidbit... several times. And then do it again.
But I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with that... just that it is funny. It is. And it's all Alex's fault anyway.
And notice I wrote that any scenario is possible in Hollywood... even a rip off of Dexter... cause that is actually what H'wood does best.
And I never throw tomatoes... they stain. And I hate to hafta clean that up.

And I see that the CW is looking at "The Vampire Diaries" as a possible series. Haven't read the books, though my eldest daughter has. I only mention this because:
Twilight is a monster hit, True Blood gets renewed after 2 eps and is getting great numbers (and no tomatoes, but I love that show), now the CW is going to air a popular young adult vamp book series.
Hmmmm, CBS. Miss the boat much?

Re: Exclusive: 'Moonlight' vamp Alex O'Loughlin Returns to CBS 2
I think this fan base is the best," but", if you were CBS, would you let anything leak out about Alex and his future show?
I am sure, we kinda left a bad taste with CBS, but they respected and liked Alex enough to have him stay at CBS. So guys, pull up a chair, have a beer, IMO do you think we are going to hear anything before May, when old shows are cancelled and new ones announced. It looks like another crappy spring of waiting.
Just a little note, when I say bad taste, it is no one on of this site, and I was guilty (for a while) on being a fan that CBS (may) have not been happy with. Hey, I followed the leader!
