Upfronts for CBS and most networks are in May. God knows I'll never forget that horrible day in May last year.

I think this year, upfronts for CBS are on May 20th. If CBS picks up Alex's pilot, it will be announced this day. But stuff usually leaks out beforehand. The Hollywood Reporter or Variety usually gets info leaked to them. Remember, thats how we found out that Moonlight got cancelled. Again,

If its picked up, the show would most likely air in September during the new TV season, or pushed back and used as a mid-season replacement.
Edited to correct date.

Oh goody, another fun spring, waiting in the trenches for a bomb to drop again, or happiness and celebrating, I am getting to old for this.

I know, it's quite taxing, isn't it?

Although, what choice do we have really?

Is there a reason why CBS can't pick up both show? kays
Yikes! It looks like TR will be up against tough competition. This Jeremy guy is going to play a likable character.
Jeremy Northam to play doctor in CBS pilot (and other casting news)

I know, I know. We let the 3,000th comment milestone on our Jeremy Northan, why aren't you a bigger star? post go unheralded, but someone's been paying attention: Northam has just been cast in the CBS pilot Miami Trauma. (That's still the title we're going with? Really?) According to The Hollywood Reporter, he'll play "a likable but enigmatic new doctor on the trauma ward." Don't you hate it when a casting makes you root for a show that you were fully prepared to never watch?

Ok... here's a stoopid question:
If CBS does not pick up Three Rivers, can another network then have it? Cause NBC needs a hit bad... even a modest hit bad...

Since it was developed by CBS Paramount, I would say probably no.

Very odd. I've been searching THR and Variety and other celeb sites. Alex's casting news hasn't been formally announced anywhere except for the Aussie Herald newspapers that doesn't have a link. What the joomla? Is is considered a formal announcement from CBS?
Or maybe they're retooling the pilot to change the Yablonski name before announcing it? I can't even say or type that name without cracking up.

I'm with you, Overdamoon. The news about Jason's new pilot is all over the place, but nothing "official' on Alex.

What's up with that?! And why can't we find a link to that Aussie Herald article?

Since it's unconfirmed, then it's still a rumor. I hate rumors, last year, ML was rumored to be renewed!
Here's a weird one I found dated 2/11!!! The rumor was around a month ago!
http://www.tv.com/story/12439.html
Criminal Minds--Hunk o' love Moonlight star Alex O'Loughlin will guest star on the CBS procedural as a serial killer. The episode is set to air in April. I doubt it will be long before we hear about him taking the lead in one of the several pilots CBS greenlit recently--he's too valuable for anything else. How about as a doc in Three Rivers? And better yet, keep him a vampire! (EW.com)
They misspelled his last name in this article too

, under his photo for the ladies. O'Loughling??

Perhaps they are hesitant to release the news until they have clarified how to spell Alecks O'Laughlin. So as not to make fewls or themselves...
