In the battle of CBS' three medical dramas, "The Eastmans" is said to have the edge for the moment.

Well, at least the writer threw in "for the moment".

Who's even in this show? Never mind, I don't care.

The article is dated yesterday, so if this is true, hopefully things have changed by now
again!

Heart is not involved, still upsets me that Alex is being over looked, but again, nobody knows what is going on, so Lisa has the right idea, breathe................

What is it with these networs? Do they suffer from severe ADD or something? One minute this show has heat.....the next it's this one....oh nope.....we're back to the first one.....oh wait.....here's one we forgot about.
I can't take it. Wake me when May 20th gets here. If I keep paying attention to this, I'll get whiplash....or an ulcer.

This morning I was one of first saying :giveup:I gave up TV, that's my personality, make lite and fun of things that upset me. Right now we are all very intense about Alex's new show, for me like most this May is bringing up last years heartbreak. It is so much different this year, last year we had this story and characters that we fell in love with and lost, and this year it's the actor we love and his show he picked. For right now, nobody knows what is going to happen to TR, we do know that Alex is going to be a lead in a movie coming In Jan., let's have fun with that. We also have to realize that we all are here right now because of Alex being Mick St. John, that is the character that broke our hearts last May. Do I want more of Alex, hell yes, last week did I think this year looked better than last year, hell yes. Than again did any of us except this to be easy, hell no. We need to breathe and hope for the best, if it's bad news, we have one another to lean on, and it will be better than last year, because we had nothing to fall in love with this year.

If we're anxious about it, can you imagine how Alex must feel? No wonder he looked thinner in those recent photos. We know he's done his best and all we can do is wait for the verdict. Either it will be put on the schedule by CBS or it will not.
Bottom line. This is not the end of his career. Far from it. If it doesn't get picked up, there will be other opportunities for Alex. Probably lots more opportunities. We just need to wait and see what else develops. So take a deep breath, let it out, step away from the computer and go do something fun. We'll still be here when you get back.
I'm going to work on my manuscript over my lunch hour--a sex scene. That's certain to take my mind off the madness at least for a little while.

for all those struggling while waiting for news.
I've decided that it's better for my health if I just avoid reading things now until it's announced one way or the other.

Not sure if this was posted i don't come here often i hate reading all the different articleS it's stressfull
Fall TV Pilots: What's Hot & What's Not? And Is David E. Kelley's Loss a Win for Chuck?
CBS has numerous new dramas on hand, including the NCIS spin-off (a lock for the fall), and The Good Wife (starring Julianna Margulies as a lawyer, again).
CBS chief Les Moonves is reportedly hot to launch a medical series, and of his three options, Three Rivers (featuring Alex O'Loughlin) is shaping up to be a front-runner, employing a 24-style split-screen technique to unspool its multiple-POV stories about organ transplants.

Alas, anxiety does not make me thinner. But I don't think I want to read any more of these threads while it's all speculation, too many bad memories from last year.
Amy's going to write fic and I'm going to try to just look at pics and read fic until d-day.

Not to your article, Jade.
THR tends to be reliable, more so than TV Guide who's been faithfully in Alex's corner.
Eastmans is a soapier, racier version of the 3 medical shows. It's the one with Donald Sutherland as a patriarch of a medical family. He's a Hollywood heavy weight or washed-up, depending on how you look at... Jacqueline Bissett is also in it, she's the other formerly heavy weight.
This LM person is all over the map. I wonder if someone had told Alex cuz he appeared effete during the gala last Saturday. On the one hand, CBS could go with 2 medical shows. On the other hand, CBS doesn't have enough slots for their new shows as is.
I'm in the minority here but I believe that CBS loves Alex enough to give him a backup plan...

I've never seen Alex looking effete. Never, never, never.
Tired, yes. Exhausted, even. Sad, drained, stressed-out. But effete? Nuh-uh.

You're right, Alle. Worn out. All of the above minus the effete part. I was speaking the French way.
