You know, you just have to laugh at some of the comments being made about our Alex obsession. The comment below is from The Hollywood Reporter:
"Alex O'Loughlin is Jesus! He can heal my lame children! He invented toothpaste! I can't wait to see "Three Rivers" and have Alex O'Loughlin father my unborn children by just watching his magical groin on the TV! He is the greatest human being who has ever lived, except for my third cousin Tommy, who's a really good guy and has a nice fashion sense. ALEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I am pleased for Alex but even more pleased that this site will remain all about Moonlight Love. This gem of a show glows no less bright just because something shinier came along. It's in my heart. In a big way.
So, THANKS, for your constancy and integrity in maintaining its original purpose and vision. That in itself makes this site a rare gem.

No wonder people think Alex fans are insane. I realize that post over at THR was made tongue in cheek, but I want to smack people like that and tell them 90% of Alex fans are normal. We're wives, girlfriends, daughters and mothers. We work, we stay home, we have hobbies - and we love Alex and want him to succeed.
AussieJo, let me reiterate what others have said - my Moonlight affair is still going strong and will continue to go on. I'm as excited as the rest that Alex is getting a chance to show his stuff in a new show, but...I'll admit it - it's been a little hard to enjoy the excitement. The last few days have been tough for me - mourning the one-year anniversary of losing something special. This is going to sound a little stupid, but to me, it feels like Mick's getting trampled to get to Dr. Andy.
So no worries - the love of Moonlight goes on!

TO PNW Gal and everyone else who has expressed the Moonlight love:
I honestly don't think I will ever love another show as much as I loved Moonlight. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Be assured we're not abandoning Moonlight. We're just making room in our hearts for Alex's new venture, that's all.

Great posts, AussieJo and PNWgal! As much as I am happy and thrilled for Alex that his show gets the go-ahead, and I plan to watch it, it's difficult to realize that Moonlight seems a distant past even though it's been gone for only a year. To make matters worse, I don't often like to watch medical shows, not even during the ER days with George Clooney.

I'm bringing Diet Pepsi to the celebration...'cause I've been done drinkin' for 20 years now...(dammit)
I'm delighted for the new show. Alex's gotta work!
It will in no way replace Moonlight in my heart...it's like having more than one kid...they each get their own love, no one gets shortchanged or forgotten..

Of course I love Alex and the other actors, and I'm positively thrilled that TR looks to be getting the green light. But I'm a Moonlight girl through and through, and I've got lots and lots more stories in my head...if only I had the time to write 'em!!
I expect there'll be Three Rivers fansites springing up soon, if they haven't already...but this is my home.

lafluffy,
and thanks to everyone else who is happy here, enjoying the Moonlight love.
Like most others, I'm so, so happy for Alex (and for me, 'cos I get to see him on my TV again, yay!!!) and I'll join in the celebrations, watching his star continue to rise.
And also like so many others have said, that doesn't diminish my love for ML at all. It's been an odd week - so many reminders of last year, while being so happy that Alex's new gig is moving forward.
When this site was set up, it was done in the full knowledge that there would be other wonderful projects and successes for all the cast members, which we would discuss and celebrate here. But first love is the sweetest. And ML was, is, and always will be, our first love here at MLA.

TR will never be ML, but it will sure help to heal the pain. If Dr Andy can capture my heart even a tenth of what Mick St John did - I'll be very happy. Now we only need about 15 million people to watch the show - any suggestions how we make that happen???

Well, MoonMarg, with Alex's talent, if everything else aligns (script, cast, scheduling, promotion etc.), then 15 million should be a breeze...

I am so reassured, ladies.
Moonlight was and is so special. I have been so bowled over by it, that sometimes I still question my reaction to it.
But most of the time I treat the whole thing as one of lifes myterious gifts and treasure it.
Thanks Ladies
Btw, A 3Rs site has sprung up and I've joined!
I like a medical show. I enjoyed ER, but IMO it developed into too much of a soap opera.
And the thought of Alex in surgical scrubs?
