Mick listened carefully to what Gabriel said and closed his eyes. Coraline again. It was always Coraline.
He said nothing as Gabriel explained everything and somehow he wasn't very surprised. He felt sorry for this vampire who's only mistake was trusting Coraline. He called Josef immediately after speaking with Gabriel.

"What!?" Josef screamed into the phone. "If she's still around I swear so help me, I'll kill her myself!"
"Josef, calm down. Coraline is definitely no more, but we need to question this vamp and at the least tell him to stop leaving bodies around" Mick said calmly as he hung up the phone and made his way to Gabriel's house.

Scott sat still and looked at all the vampires surrounding him. He wondered if they were going to kill him. Kill him! That was pretty funny considering his state.

Zoe lightly took his hand and began to speak.
"Coraline......well.....let's just say she's known to all of us. Some better than others. But in any case, as you've probably figured out......well...wasn't exactly the nicest person on the block"
"She was the pure definition of evil is what she was!" Josef yelled out folding his arms across his chest.
"Okay" Zoe said with smirk. "She was evil. She was working with Lucifer to end mankind and pretty much put all of us in danger" She finished. Scott looked at them all thinking this must be some sort of joke.
"Really? Lucifer? As in Satan?" he asked sarcastically.
"So, you have no problem believing in vampires but you draw the line at the Devil? Trust me Scott, that is just a small part of what we have all seen" Zoe said standing up.

Mick stood in front of the young man.
"Listen......what's your name?" Mick asked.
"Scott Slade" He replied
"Scott, what Zoe is telling you is the truth. Coraline...was....she was my wife..I mean my first wife. She turned me on my wedding night if you can believe that! Nothing about the woman was good" Mick finished.
"Was? You mean.....she's dead?" Scott said in surprise. He always thought he would see the beautiful woman again.
"Yeah, and she better stay that way!" Josef said in anger. Zoe sat next to Scott again.
"Look, we aren't trying to scare you or anything, but you need to know the truth. Tell me, what do remember about the night you met her?" She asked.
"She came to one of our shows. I mean she was a knock-out! Way too good looking to be the usual groupie type. She said she really like our music and she wanted to get to know me better....and well..I'm pretty sure you can guess what happened."
"Did she tell you anything?" Zoe asked.
"She said that she gave my the blood of every tribe so I could fight in Satan's army...whatever that is supposed to mean" Scot said throwing up his hands. Zoe froze.
"This is not good" She said slowly.
"What does this mean Zoe?" Mick asked frantically.
"Coraline was preparing for the final battle alright. In the scrolls it reads that a vampire sired by all the bloodlines, would be unstoppable. But at the time when I read this, it seemed impossible.....Scott were you hooked up to an IV?"
"Yeah. When I came to finally...yeah, I was" he said slowly.
Josef shook his head slowly.
"Damn it Coraline!" He swore out loud.

Scott stared at everyone in fear and shock.
"What does this mean?" He asked in a shaky voice.
"What it means Scott is you were turned to destroy us all" Zoe said finally when she saw no one else would answer. Scott stood up in a hurry knocking his chair down behind him.
"Wait a minute! I'm not going to do anything but get hell out of here!" He yelled running for the door.
Brian quickly stood in front of him. Scott knew that this vampire was very capable of ending him. He stopped and fell to the floor.
"I never asked for any this!" he sobbed openly.
Mick knelt down next to the young man. Mick knew his anger and his sadness all too well.
"Look, no one wants to hurt you. But you do need to know how to control yourself. If you let us, we can help you" Mick said to him.
"How can anyone help me?" He said, tears streaming down his face. Zoe smiled at the man.
Mr. Scott Slade, you would be amazed by what we can do!" She said giggling.
"What are going to do?" Scott asked suddenly fearful.
"Well the first thing you need to do is control your thirst." Zoe said wrinkling her brow trying to think.
"Isabelle" Gabriel said. "My mom said she did wonders helping me control the need to attack everyone in sight" Scott looked around the room.
"Which one of you is Isabelle?" Josef smirked.
"Be careful what you wish for" He said.
"You can stay here tonight." Zoe said looking at Gabriel with pleading eyes. "We very well can't have you on your own anymore."
Brian saw the look in his brother's eyes.
"I'll stay too. Just in case" Brian said stoically.

Everyone said their goodbyes and Zoe got the guests rooms ready although she already knew that Brian would not rest tonight.
"There you are Scott. And if you need anything or get antsy, lets us know. But whatever you do, Don't Leave The House" She said sternly.
Scott nodded his head.
"I think I'll stay up for a while if that's okay. I'm a musician after all. The nighttime is my best friend" he said with a small smile.
Scott waited until he heard Zoe go upstairs and shut her door. He very quietly went back downstairs and tried to open the front door. Using all his strength he couldn't get the door open. He tried the windows but it was same. He looked around trying to find another way out. Suddenly he felt a very cold chill in the air. he turned quickly around and saw the vampire they referred to as Brian.
"I'm quite sure Zoe wanted you to stay here" He said in steely voice.
"Look man, I can't stay here. I got gigs lined up all week" he stammered.
"They will be cancelled" Brian said.
"W..what?! I can't cancel my gigs!" He said in shock.
"Nonetheless, they will be cancelled." Brian said and refused to acknowledge the vamp any longer.
Scott looked at vampire. He appeared to be asleep. Maybe he could just...........
Without opening his eyes Brian said "I could destroy you simply by wishing it" Scott felt an intense pain in his head that brought him to his knees.
"Do not test me" Brian said. And that pain stopped. Scott slowly got back up and went into the room Zoe had set up for him.

"So what now?" Scott asked still trying to wake up.
"Its time for you to meet Isabelle" Zoe said. Scott closed his eyes and mumbled.
"Alright, alright. Give me a moment!" He said annoyed.
Scott shuffled down the staircase still rubbing his tired eyes when he stopped suddenly still. What he saw in front of him was a Goddess! And he thought the vamp who made him was a stunner! Were all vampires model gorgeous? Scott smiled brightly at the woman.
"Hello. I'm Scott Slade" He said in a seductive voice. Isabelle said nothing and studied the vampire for a few moments.
"I do not care" she said quietly. Scott's smile faded. "Ok. so what's on the agenda?" He asked.
"Follow me" Isabelle said and started to walk out the door. Scott quickly looked back at Zoe with a nervous expression.
"Don't worry Scott. Trust me, if Isabelle wanted to destroy you......well...you would be destroyed.Just do what she says. Ok?" Scott nodded and followed Isabelle to her sports car and got in.
Scott openly stared at the beautiful vampire.
"So where are you taking me?" He asked. Isabelle said nothing but continued to drive.

They arrived at Julian's Venice Beach home in record time. Julian studied the young man for a long time. Scott was beginning to get nervous.
"Well Mr. Slade, I'm sure everything you've been told is very confusing so I will not complicate matters. Coraline, the vampire who made you, gave you the blood of all 12 vampiric bloodlines. And you say this happened there around 5 years ago?"
"Yeah"
"And this is when your music started to take off?" Julian asked
"Yeah. I mean all of sudden, I was writing all these great songs and our record company got us into the studio real quick......wait. You think all of this is because I was turned?" He asked in surprise.
"Mr. Slade, not all vampires are alike. Some due their bloodline can be more talented in one area than another. Is there anything else you have noticed?"
Scott thought for moment.
"Well, the feeding thing. I mean I really am seriously hungry all the time. As in every second of the day."
"I must say, that is unusual. A ravenous appetite is prominent in the very early stages of being turned".
"The thing is, I wasn't hungry at all in the beginning. This started happening just a few months ago!"
Julian and Isabelle looked sharply at young man.
"Are you sure?" Isabelle said in a controlled voice.
"Don't you think I'd remeber something like that? Yeah it was right before the tour started"
"You were created for a purpose Mr. Slade. You are in fact what I would refer to as a hybrid. There is not another vampire in the world capable of what you are" Julian said.

Isabelle stared at the young vampire.
"What is to be done?" she asked Julian.
"Well, the first thing that must be done is the control of his thirst. The killings must stop. They are drawing too much attention. Second, we must see if Mick and Gabriel will be able to help harness in some of his thoughts."
"I will need someplace very isolated. No humans" Isabelle said. Julian nodded his head. Scott would be taken to Dragos' lair.

Zoe squealed when she found out that Mick and Gabriel were going to Dragos' lair.
"This is soooo huge! You have to tell me everything!"
"Sure honey" Gabriel said rolling his eyes at his wife.
"I mean it and don't leave out a single thing" Zoe said firmly.

"Brian we are ready" Isabelle said.
Brian nodded his head and waved his hand. In an instant Gabriel, Mick, Scott and Isabelle were gone.

Hey Moonlightfans.

I am going to stop this story. I simply cannot remember where I was going to go with this
and so much time has gone by.

I'm working on a new story about Josef going into the casino business when
murder pops its nasty head out!

The lair of Dragos is always hard to explain to anyone. Until you are there you can't believe a place like this exists. And even when you arrive there, you're still never really sure. Scott looked all around in wonder. It resembled the place in Peter Pan where the Lost Boys lived. Surely he was dreaming.
"Where are we?" Scott asked.
"Somewhere in the Galápagos Islands" Isabelle said.
"Okay......what do we do now? I mean why did you cancel my tour and bring me here of all places?"
"You're away from humans for now. That was the point." Mick said. But he too failed to see why they were there of all places. Gabriel and Isabelle were speaking to each other without saying a word. Finally he turned around.
"Dad, we're going to try something. It's never been attempted before because hey, why would anyone want to do it, but here it goes. We're going to try to plant some things in his mind. That's why the three of had to come. It's a long shot, but it may work" Gabriel said. Scott backed up.
"Hey...wait a minute. What are talking about doing?" he asked becoming fearful.
"Nothing that will cause you harm" Isabelle said. "Please sit" She motioned. Scott sat down on the chair in front of him, never taking his eyes off of them. Isabelle, Mick and Gabriel held hands and closed their eyes. Scott stared at them thinking this was all a bunch of crap. Then he felt his eyes slowly closed and he saw himself in his apartment. His old apartment. Before the band, before the success. He was just a guy who played a little guitar and made pizzas for a living.......at Vito's! Man, they had great pizzas. He was dating a girl named Amanda. Amanda Hope. She had really long hair. It was so long, he first thought it was a wig. He hadn't thought of that stuff in a long time!

Scott opened his eyes and saw everyone looking at him. He stood up.
"What? Did you guys make me act like a duck or something?" He asked with a smile.
"What is it you are felling?" Isabelle asked. Scott thought for a moment.
I...feel hungry. For Pizza...A large new york style with pepperoni mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Man I could a eat a large one all to myself unless you guys want some" He said. Mick and Gabriel stared at the man. What did they do? Isabelle broke the silence
"Actually, eating is a good idea" She said looking at both Mick and Gabriel.
"Alright! Now you talking!" Scott said excitedly as he tried to find his way out. "Where are we again?" he asked suddenly confused.
"We are at my vacation home" Isabelle said quickly. "Remember?"
"Oh yeah, that's right. Well, lead the way" He said and they all followed Isabelle out. She drove them
to small family run place and they all sat down at a table. Scott ordered a pitcher of beer and two large
pizzas. He talked about his new CD and the video the band was working on. Nothing about his new vampiric state. The pizza came and Scott dived right in.
"Oh my bad!" He said. "That was really inconsiderate of me knowing you all don't eat" He said wiping his mouth with a napkin.
"Do you know why we don't?" Gabriel asked.
"Dude. Seriously? The whole undead thing....I told you I wouldn't tell anyone and I meant that." he said reaching for another slice of pizza. Two young women skimpily dressed walked in and Isabelle watched Scott carefully. He nodded to them both and turned back to the table. After he had eaten both pizzas he looked at them with a smile.
"Can I go back now? I have a ton of work to finish up on?"
"Sure thing Scott" Mick said still not understanding what was going on or what they were going to do with him.

Isabelle contacted Brian and he brought them all back. Zoe squealed wen she heard and couln't wait to get the husband alone to ask about the lair of Dragos. Isabelle immediately contacted Julian.

"Are you saying that this man is no longer a vampire?" Julian asked in total shock.
"That I do not know" Isabelle said. "But for the present he appears to be human, and we are at a loss as to how this happened."
"What was done exactly?"
Mick, Gabriel and I all focused on the man's mind and took all memory of his turning, Coraline and the killings he had done out of his mind. Gabriel took him to a place in his mind that he last felt safe and secure." Isabelle explained.
"And that was all? Julian started to go through paperwork on his desk. He did seem to recall of such a thing happening......but where?

"Alright Mick, give up the details". Carl said. "One moment we got some baby vamp going through women like crazy and now nothing. Please tell me that the situation is handled". Mick looked at Carl. He had no idea what to tell him.
"No worries buddy. Everything's fine" Mick said, but on the inside he felt panicky. If they cured vampirism......let's just say, the idea would not be a popular one.

"Gabriel you sit down this minute and tell me everything!" Zoe ordered. Gabriel sat down and prepared to be asked a thousand questions so he cut to the chase.
"Zoe.....stop talking for a moment!" He yelled. Zoe sat down next to him and held his hand.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Zoe....we cured him of being a vampire" Gabriel said slowly. Zoe's eyes widened,
"What do you mean? That's impossible. How is that possible?"
"All I know is that we were doing the mind probe together then Scott came out of it craving pizza which he ate a lot of! He knows we're vampires but doesn't seem to remember himself being one" Gabriel finished. Zoe sat perfectly still. She had read the scrolls with Julian. She knew what this meant.

Zoe quickly got up and ran to the phone to ring Julian. He answered ion the first ring.
"Julian, it's Zoe. Have you heard from Isabelle?" Zoe asked.
"She is here with me now Zoe." Julian replied.
"You both need to get here now! As in right now!" Zoe said, hanging up the phone and immediately calling Mick.
"Zoe, you're scaring me. What's going on?" Gabriel asked as he watched his wife go through books and papers. Julian and Isabelle arrived and Mick was right behind them.
"I remembered in the scroll readings it told of the "Watchers" They were sent in the 1400's to execute anyone responsible for a conversion. As in a vampire being turned back into their human state. When they discovered a small handful of vampires who were performing this conversion they were immediately destroyed. These Watchers, keep a fierce look out for anything like this and the sentence is always death" Zoe finished. Julian closed his eyes and nodded. Zoe was correct.
"But wait a minute!" Mick interrupted. " I was human for almost a week..." He started to say.
"Mick, Coraline's compound was self made and it was a quick fix type of thing. The vampire in the 15th century completed conversions by the mind probe. Like what you three did." Zoe finished. Gabriel stood up.
"We didn't know what we did or even how we did it! We'll just explain it to these people whoever they are!" Gabriel yelled.
"You really don't know how you did it?" Zoe asked Mick Isabelle and Gabriel shrugged. "Well that may be your saving grace. You have to understand that conversions will reduce our numbers drastically, and many of the old ones are scared to death of that happening and frankly so am I" Zoe said. She loved being a vampire and wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. And while Gabriel being born a vampire had nothing to worry about like the rest of them.

"Look" Mick said "First of all, we don't know if Scott has truly changed. Beth ate human food while she was pregnant and so did Nicole. Nothing is set in stone. This may be something that Coraline alone is responsible for" Mick said trying to calm everyone down.
"Mick is right." Zoe finally said. "We need all the facts"
"The first point of the matter: is Mr. Slade human? And if so, I need him back so I can examine him" Julian said speaking for the first time.

Scott had never felt better. He had been feeling really run down, but that was because they were constantly on the road. But tour dates had been rescheduled due to a request from his doctor. But that's the thing. Scott couldn't remember ever seeing a doctor. But he must have at some point. Right?
"Man, that doctor must have worked wonders because you look great!" His manager was saying. "i was getting kind of worried about you too. You looked like the walking dead there for a while" He joked.
"Yeah, I do feel better." Scott said closing his eyes trying hard to remember something that he just couldn't grasp.
"Hey you coming Shorty's tonight?" His bass player asked.
"Nah, you guys go ahead. I got plans" Scott said.
"Ohhhhh!" His band members teased. "Give over! Who is she?" they asked.
"You idiots! She's just a friend" Scott said
"Surrre she is" they all laughed.

"Everyone told me you feeling better!" Zoe said smiling at Scott as he walked in.
"I feel like a new man to be honest. " He replied.
"Well Julian is going to examine you to make sure you're okay." Scott slapped his knee
Of course he saw a doctor! Julian came over to him and took some blood and ran some test.
"Well Mr. Slade, you are in perfect physical condition" Julian said.
"That's great Doc!" Scott said grinning widely and going outside in back to join the others.

"He is indeed, very human" Julian said at last. Zoe nodded her head and closed her eyes. praying that they were the only people who knew.
