No more updates for this one, I'm afraid; it's come to an end. A new story is coming along but is not quite ready yet.....

Wow, that was beautiful. I stand in the line of wishing there were more, but as a ML is am kinda always stuck in that state of mind :snicker: You have Mick and Beth down pat and your creation Rose is very endearing. Since i can't have more of this, i guess i'll just HAVE to settle for your new story :snicker: JK, i can't wait

Thank you for the lovely comment, ash. I'm glad you liked Rose!

I just finished both of your stories "Rose and Thorn" and "The Other Side...".
I never thought about Mick's past in this way... but since his past is hidden, why it wasn't be like this one ...
I like your writting style so I'm looking foward to your new story :9to5:

What a perfect ending to a beautiful story. Full circle - Rosie and Mick back in each other's lives and Rosie now cast in the role of protector, using her own experiences to advise, to convince Mick that he should grasp what he has with Beth, no matter what. I loved that section - so very touching.

Then you wrap up the final piece of the puzzle with Rosemary. Of course Mick had watched over them all, keeping them safe from everyone and everything, including him.

That, for me, has been the real beauty of this story - that Mick finally starts to see that he can be more than perpetually on the outside looking in.

This really is a masterpiece and I'm sure I will re-read regularly.

Thank you for sharing it.

Red

Thank you so much for your comment, Albra, and thanks for reading! The new story is slowly coming along .... glad to hear that you're looking forward to that one too.

Red, I don't really know how to thank you for your comments. You've seen things in the story that I hadn't even realized I'd put there, and it's been fascinating to read your insights. (Not to mention encouraging!) I loved that you mentioned the full circle, too, as that's just what I was going for. Thank you so, so much!

It seems to be a beautiful ending to a beautiful story, but anyway, could you continue? Please.

I really don't have any more for this story - though I might revisit Rose or Esme at some time, in a story that could brush up against these.
We'll see what happens.
Thanks so much WendyLight; it's lovely you liked these enough to want more!

This is the end?! *Sigh* Okay, I understand... Yes, I suppose we did get some closure, but it was Sonata-style closure, which is bittersweet--and definitely leaves things open.

Anyway, this was a lovely, beautiful story, and I'll be sure to check out anything else you write.

Sorry about the end Julie! ;)
But it's lovely you still wanted more of the story.
It was so nice to see that you'd read all the way through this office, and I sure do appreciate the comments on every chapter!
Thanks so much.

This is such a beautiful heartwarming story. Do you have more? I want to know if Rosie met her daughter.
Rosie is your character, and she is so well-rounded. Thank you so much!
