Also love your take on Beth. She has more than her share of nerve. Her Grandpa would be proud. His silver gladius served the purpose for which it was created.

This is a hugely important chapter! One of those pivotal moments in the story.

For an instant in reading it, I had a horrible thought based on Beth's special blood type. Could that unhinged were who has now sired Beth be given extra healing abilities from ingesting some of her blood. Then I remembered a bit of the next chapter and felt better. If he can't regenerate from the cured hide on the floor of Josef's freezer room, we are good.

I still love those same great lines

and when Beth said that she doesn't do stay. Mick should know that by now.

And Karl was fabulous here. (My thanks to Eris, too!) He just fits seemlessly into the Moonlight universe. If they ever revive Moonlight, they should add that character to the cast.

OMG!!! This chapter was awesome! Great action, great fear moments, and now Beth has been bitten and will be a wolf! Can't imagine how that will go. Not the turning Mick would have wanted for Beth.
Josef and Karl fighting just in the moment the sh** was hitting the fan, was clearly a wrong decision. I hope they can keep Beth's state a secret.
