r1015--Thank you very much! You know, I have wondered about that myself since Mick closed his eyes and lowered his head for a moment before vamping on Tejada. Or maybe that was just for dramatic effect. Who knows, maybe there's no effort in staying one way or another, just the initial effort to change?

Albra--Why, thank you! Some thought that line went too far into comedy at the expense of realism--but that was the point! It was supposed to be silly. Glad you "got" it!

Well, thanks to Lucky for referring me to this story... I was wondering how the crew might do at a Halloween party. I haven't read much fic, so this is new to me and really quite funny. Love how you played it out. My favorite line (you know how I just adore the snark):

Thanks so much, HotMicks (and to Lucky for the rec!)! Glad you found it funny--it was my first posted fanfic, and now when I read it I cringe at my writing. I'm (hopefully) much better now. But I also love snark, and it's included in every single story of mine.

I'm working on a story for this year's Halloween challenge, but it won't involve parties. All I'll say is that it will be a crossover with another cancelled CBS show, and it will be very ridiculous.

Great job, NCM! The dialogue between Mick and Josef combined with the timeless observations of human nature all whipped into a great tricky treat. Loved it. Especially loved this:

Josh scowled and quickly went to put a possessive arm around Beth, while Mick excused himself sheepishly and stalked back over to Josef, dragging him off by the ear through the dining room and onto the balcony where they could speak alone.

“Not helping!” He hissed.

“Ow,” Josef complained, rubbing his ear. “Did you learn that move from my mother? Four hundred years later, that’s the one thing I remember about her.”

“No,” Mick glowered. “I learned that from my mother.
