This is absolutely beautiful! Everyone is so real. The conversations... Your dialogue hits the perfect note. With simple statements and looks you convey so much. Thank you.

Well, that stinks. I had an individual response for everyone (figuring better late than never) typed out, but when I tried to post it I got an error and lost it. So just let me say thanks to all for reading and enjoying, and for commenting. :thanks:

That one of my stories has become somewhat of a classic, that people keep on re-reading... what a thrill!
:thanks:

Going thru old stories. This was beautiful. Sad but beautiful. It made me sadder however thinking that Beth will be turned looking older than Mick. I know I'm being vain but, I, for one will not want to look older than my hubs. :snicker:

Thank you.

Wonderful!

Not, sobbing. Definitely leaking, but I can't afford to trash the makeup until I am done with work so I must leak carefully.

Bittersweet, in that I want an eternally young Beth Turner. Of course, it will bother her more than Mick, but that is how we women are.

Mick would follow her to D.C., it is totally his style.

Thanks, Catmoon!

And you have your very own smilie :mooncat: :mooncat:

I did get teary-eyed reading this, but it was beautiful. Beth gained wisdom over the years, and apparently Mick gained some as well. He didn't hesitate a second when she said she was ready.

When she was talking to Josef, I wondered why Josef said Mick was waiting to see her, how Mick would know she'd returned. Never occurred to me that he had followed her to DC and back again, but of course it makes perfect sense that he did.

Even though this is a bit sad and Beth had many regrets, it is still a very romantic story! :flowers:

Damn.. :bmoon: :bmoon: :bmoon: So...Beth got to have the life Mick wanted her to have...and they both live to regret it! At least there is hope for them! Leave it to Josef to set things straight!
