Same reaction here. While catching the last half of BC last night, my husband actually groaned aloud when he saw ML on the screen. He stated that even he had seen that episode 4 times. Then he proceeded to sit there and watch the rest of it with me! He sees when I have the dvds out and knows that I watch them periodically. He is a patient man--plus, I compare it to him watching any sporting event. And, let's face it, our guys do receive some of the benefits of us watching ML

Absolutely! Friday nights have always been "date night" for us..dinner and drinks without the kids in tow. Home in time for ML and then...well....

I told hubby, "some day you should meet Alex/Jason and shake his hand and thank him for doing all the "work" for you.." LOL :giggle:

And, I agree with you about the sporting thing..I'm a golf widow every weekend all spring/summer..he plays every Fri - Sat - Sun and when he's not playing, he's watching it on tv. Yawn! Borrrrrrrring.....

Cassy & DSR. Now I'm even more excited, (if that's possible). :dizzy: The VCR tapes are so worn  they are mostly audio and visual static, now. :sigh:

JIMS, I swear I almost used the see-saw for Josef, but changed at the last moment...

You mean you've watched them more than a couple times? My husband keeps asking me why I need to watch again... "you already know what happens" he says. " I forget, just like I forgot to get your dry cleaning..." I say.
Well, with every re-watch, subtle nuances of characterization are noticed and details of the set can be better appreciated.

The wait must be torturous for you. Even though I didn't immediately watch the dvd when I purchased it, I am almost ashamed to admit how many times I held it, opened it, looked at the pictures in it and generally squealed with happiness. Wait, why would I even be embarassed to share that here? We (almost) all feel that way!

It was a huge event for me, the first time I sat down and put that dvd it. To be able to watch those episodes at will, pause, rewind, pause again---yeah, it's a great feeling, and one that you will soon be experiencing!
I'll probably be carrying the DVD's around like a security blanket for 24 hrs, just so I know they are not a mirage. :snicker:

*LOL* Sounds like my hubby..he asks me, "don't you ever get tired of looking at the same old pictures of these guys" I said, "would you get tired of looking at the Sistene Chapel, the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper?? These guys are works of art too!"

He didn't get it. Maybe it's because most of the pics have their clothes on...
:rofl2:

Phoenix, it's glorious. Just having the episodes in high-quality video and sound, with no annoying network logo on them... sigh... life is good. :rose:

Enjoy them!

I am SO excited for you!!!!!! :cheering: :cheering: :cheer: :cheering: :groupwave:

I hadn't watched any ML since it went off the air. I just couldn't cause my heart was broken. I was hoping getting the DVD would kickstart my heart again. And it DID!

I'd only seen ML on a 14" screen, now have a 40" screen. O.MI. GOD. It's like seeing everything anew. I missed sooo many of the nuances, the photography blows me away, everything is so much better, I have so much admiration for everyone. :worship: Alex gets more gorgeous over the eps. Sophia's nuanced expressions (and Alex's) come to the fore ...sigh and swoon....

At first I drank everything in, but by the 5th ep I got stupid again and can only focus on Alex/Mick. Cuz I fell in love with Mick all over again. :hearts: From the ashes arose the ML Phoenix ;). :groupwave: I never thought I'd get fresh insight but I did.

It really is a thrill ride that never ends. I haven't watched them all yet cause I don't think my heart could survive. :thud:

I can't wait to hear your take on it! :woohoo: :celebrate:

*hugs lafluffy*

I felt the same. It was only in November that I tentatively started watching episodes again - and it was marvellous, like seeing them for the first time.

Like you, I see something new to love and admire with every re-watch.

Phoenix have a lovely time with the DVD -box! Believe me, the "because I love you" is much better on a proper sized TV screen compared to a blurry YouTube picture! :yahoo: :yahoo:

It's crazy, because in some ways the characters are so ingrained in my mind ... and yet, when writing, I am becoming more and more painfully aware that I've forgotten how they move, how they talk. They are more like images from a dream now, than clear memories. Hopefully the DVD's will be the antidote to all that. :yahoo:

And I'm really looking forward to being able to join in with the ep discussions. :soap: :woohoo:

Thanks, O.Z (I though we had plenty of smilies until trying to match the characters...)
