When I watched the show...the awkwardness between Mick and Beth at the elevator...Josh seemed oblivious to it. When he brought it up as she was leaving the dinner for the morgue, I was kind of surprised...I really didn't think he picked up any vibe, but he most definitely did. You give a great assessment of what was going through Josh's head, francis.
Best Josh line ever...

I know how the story ends up...but how we get there is completely unpredictable! Great job francis.

Hehe. Raven, you don't really know how the story ends up. That's why I call it AU in the first place. It isn't yet, but it will be.

I forgot to mention something in my earlier comment on this chapter--I wonder, is Dr. Rosin a vampire? The look, the sniffing...

You're smart. Dr. Rosin is a vampire. I thought it would be a nice touch. I don't think that an unknowing doctor would have said something about the wounds looking like a bite, confidentiality and privacy and all tha. But a vampire doctor probably knew from the sniff what happened and that Josh wasn't in the know.
Besides, the freshies need to go somewhere, too.

It certainly was a nice touch. I love how it kind of confused Josh. So did Beth know that her doctor was a vampire before she went to him?

Hmm, let me think. It might be that she was worried too what the doc would say, and that she wanted to ask Mick what to do. Maybe that's why she was pining away at his door in the last scene of Fever.
Then again, she probably didn't have contact to him at all until they ran into each other at the hospital, as he said in a voice over that she left four messages and he didn't get back at her.

So, I guess she was just lucky.
