Just got Season 5 of Stargate Atlantis in the mail.
I was disappointed they didn't renew, but I believe they're doing movies like they are with SG1.

He says he knows "how much more passionate fans are for a show like this". Mmmmmm.... sounds like he's had experience with "genre" shows.

I didn't watch any of the first Stargates but I think I'll try to support David.

Syfy's 'Stargate Universe' premiere date is...

At any rate, Syfy just announced its fall premiere dates, including the much-anticipated new series "Stargate Universe," and returning shows "Sanctuary" and "Destination Truth."

Here are the dates:

"Stargate Universe" – New series premieres October 2, 2009 @ 9 PM (2-hour premiere)
"Destination Truth" – Season 3 premieres September 9, 2009 @ 9 PM
"Sanctuary" – Season 2 premieres Friday, October 9 @ 10 PM
"Scare Tactics" – Season 3 episodes return Tuesday, October 6 @ 9 PM
"Ghost Hunters" – All-new episodes throughout the fall – Wednesdays @ 9 PM -- Featuring special guest investigators Meatloaf (!?) and Josh Gates
"Warehouse 13" – All-new episodes throughout September -- Tuesdays @ 9 PM

I've never watched any of the Stargates, but I'm marking my calendar for the premiere of "Universe." Thanks, JIMS!

I couldn't help but notice that SGU is premiering in the "old" SciFi/ML timeslot..Fridays at 9:00. David will feel right at home..

My nerdy scifi daughter and her new husband got me hooked on SG1, and Atlantis..hope the new one is good.

Several years ago they got tee shirts that say: Hers: Front, 'My boyfriend is a Nerd'...back, 'And I am too'...
His: Front: 'My girfriend is a Nerd'...back, 'I'm such a lucky guy'..

Guess that's why the bride and goom on top of the cake had star wars garb on, blue boquet and light sabers....

That is very sweet, o-z. My oldest dd is quite a nerd herself..not a scifi nerd but bookish, likes the video games. Hasn't had a boyfriend yet..glad to hear that there is still hope..a "jack for every jill", right??
