Ok...I have to agree with GA here. If they did that, I would quit my job and NEVER leave my television set. My husband would have to physically peel me off the screen every night.

...and that would be a problem because...?????

I just realized that if he's not shooting 16 hour days, he'll have more time to wander around the 'burgh which could be very, very good for us locals! (did that sound selfish? )
HotMicks wrote:Okay, as someone who once lived in the 'burgh (bro was born there), can I suggest that someone take a set of binoculars up the Duquesne incline and park your butt on the observation deck until you spot him? :snicker:
It's funny you should mention the incline. I was thinking it was one of the sights Alex would have to check out while he was here...which of course led to thoughts of the incline breaking down and being trapped with Mr. O'Loughlin.
See, he hasn't even landed yet and he's already corrupting my brain.

Uh, that corruption started long ago MLM! I did suggest you bring along the smelling salts, right? :snicker:

*facepalm* I knew I forgot something! Smelling salts definitely belong in the Emergency Alex-Sighting Kit, along with the binoculars, camera, and drool bucket (and handcuffs, but that's just wishful thinking ;) ). And as an added bonus, the kit also comes in a plush, pillow-like case so you'll always have somewhere soft to land. :snicker: Every woman within at least a 500 mile radius of Alex should probably have one with them at all time, just in case.

Just what are you suggesting there, mwj? I have always been perfectly innocent and have never succumbed to the gutter. Image In fact, I resent the mere accu...oh, who am I kidding. Even I can't say that with a straight face. Tho I think you and the rest of the gutter dwellers had a hand in that corruption.;) I may have fallen but you guys are the ones who made it too much fun to ever drag my mind back out of the gutter.

Oh yes, of course your fascination with The Tongue is purely innocent.  I sincerely apologize for any part I played in the corruption :rose: but I really can't take all this heat! :gasp: SS is around here somewhere!

So uh, Three Rivers...filming starts Monday right? *feeble attempt at revisiting topic* I can't wait to hear what comes out there about His Hotness! :cheering: I wonder if they'll have everyone sign confidentiality agreements though? I just pulled that out of thin air. :snicker:

I apologize for nothing. If I'm corrupted, I'm taking everyone down with me. Heck.....it's much more fun in the gutter anyway, right?     Mwah!!

And yes....Three Rivers.....must get back on topic! Filming....filming is good, and happening soon apparently! Woohoo! Lucky, lucky Pittsburgh! :clapping:

Personally, I'm looking foward to seeing what Alex can bring to this role. He gave the character of Mick such great depth that I'm really curious to see what he can do with this.

This could be a chance to show a really large audience just what kind of acting chops our Alex really has!

Hey MLM, this is slightly :offtopic: but what IS the Duquesne incline? Is it some kind of train?

And now back on topic... I actually hope they don't turn Alex's role into a bed-hopping caricature. He's so much better than that--he deserves a role where he can show what a fabulous actor he is, not just push the "handsome hunk" angle. He's so handsome that in some ways I really think it's a handicap to his being taken seriously as an actor, and he's so d@mn good that he deserves the respect he's truly worthy of.

I don't mean to rain on your fun, but it makes me a little sad when the ga-ga factor outweighs the appreciation of his talent. Because he's so incredibly talented!

In complete agreement Pgal~~time for everyone else to see what they have been missing.
And I have no doubt that this man will act his a*s off--he is incredibly committed to his craft.

No problem, Allegrita... hope everyone knows it's all just in good fun. Believe me, it's the talent that sucked me in... there's many a gorgeous face out there and they do nothing for me. I don't get the Brad obsession, nor those Idol guys, etc. 'cause there's little brain or personality to latch onto. But Alex, he's a thinking girl's guy :ugeek: :reading: :ugeek: But d :beep: mned if he isn't so darn sexy too!

And the incline is sort of a combination of a train and a lift... also known as a funicular in other parts of the world. It's goes up steep hills (like, almost vert).

Oh I think we were all just kidding around, Allegrita. I think we all more than appreciate his talent. The man's got ability to spare. No doubt about that. All you have to do is look at his body of work to see it. I think we just mentioned the sexy stuff, because we know that he can bring that too and didn't get too much of a chance to show that while doing ML. Heck, Mick might as well have been a monk because he sure behaved that way most of the time. ;) A remoreseful, guilt-ridden sometimes lustful monk, but a monk just the same. :pinklol:

LOL, SS -- I think you've just described every monk that ever was! (Well, except for the incredibly handsome part.) :)

ETA: Oops, I didn't see your post, HotMicks--thank you! I know exactly what a funicular is. Los Angeles used to have one called Angels Flight. It was really cool. And yeah, it would be fun to get stuck in it with Alex...for one thing, he's probably funny as heck and he'd tell you bunches of cool stories to pass the time! (And then there's that incredibly handsome factor...) :hearts:

Wait a minute, we're gonna be guaranteed supreme life-and-death drama in the medical scenes (banking on the fact that Alex CHOSE this), so yeah, I'm gonna be a little greedy. But I will settle for just one chair OR dock scene per season. After all, we need to make good use of our  smiley. :chair:
