I do love the occasional romantic comedy, but have to admit to not being a huge Jennifer Lopez fan. I did enjoy "Out of Sight" and "An Unfinished Life", but neither of those were romantic comedies. How were "Maid in Manhattan" and "Wedding Planner"? Any good?

It'll be good exposure for Alex, that's for sure! So I'll be keeping the fingers crossed!!

"Out of Sight" was a very good movie and helped George Clooney's career.

She's cheap and tacky but he'll class up the movie...

...and Raven, do NOT wish her on him! Fleur, you go girl, you prevent THAT hook up from happening... cause you notice PDiddy's career, Ben Affleck's, that insignificant back up dancer, and Marc's got a brief bump from their thang with her but otherwise they kinda lost loft after that... not so great. Be in the movie, like George Clooney was, then cut bait and run Alex!!!!

Tho I gotta say... they'll have to two nicest derrieres on screen in probably forever.

I really liked "The Wedding Planner". Didn't really care for "Maid in Manhattan". But then I'm a huge Matthew McConaughey fan! He's adorable! And you're right, Grace. There will definitely be two cute backsides on the big screen, though one a bit more toned than the other, complete with beautiful artwork!

ET breaks the news that "Moonlight" actor Alex O'Loughlin has been cast to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films' feature 'The Back-Up Plan.'
The romantic comedy features Lopez as Zoe -- a woman who embarks on a journey to motherhood using artificial insemination, only to meet a possible Mr. Right named Stan (O'Loughlin) on the day of her insemination.
The couple begins dating, with Zoe confusing their early relationship by hiding her pregnancy. After she reveals her secret, Stan unexpectedly sticks by her side. But as the birth approaches, the pressures of their new relationship and her impending motherhood could split them apart.
'The Back-Up Plan,' is the first feature from CBS Films and will be directed by "Six Feet Under"'s Alan Poul. The movie is set to begin filming in Los Angeles in May and will premiere in theaters in January 2010.
You can also catch O'Loughlin in upcoming films 'Whiteout' and 'August Rush.'

P.S. While I'm absolutely ecstatic about this me, I can't help but feel a tad sad as well. A film like this could really boost his exposure...and, I don't know, it seems like every new fan he gets will take him just a wee bit further from being "our Alex." However, from what I've seen of Alex, he seems like he will always have a special place for his original fans...that would be us. And that says something very special about him.
