mwj01 wrote:Thanks Jade! WTH is up with JS? :confused2: This one made me a little  . Interesting that "CBS all but officially concedes was a mistake" re: cancellation. Of course I agree, but I haven't read anything to indicate that, so I would assume it's word-of-mouth?
Sort of an interesting question. What if Nina came out and said "You know, we should have let that go one more year", what would be your reaction?

That is a very interesting article, thanks Jade! I must say, my heart melted just a bit at the "leading man phase" part... Oh, you sweet dear guy... :melts: :happysigh:

I agree about Joel Silver. He's got a rep as a loose cannon, and it's evidently well earned. As far as CBS admitting they made a mistake in canceling Moonlight, I think we're safe in assuming that they'll never officially admit it. And it looks more and more like JS could've been the "brains" behind that, too. But we'll never know. I'm just gonna move on...

And Joel calling him about a ML movie?????????

Then not calling back??????????????
I almost wished I hadn't known that, b/c it hurts my heart. :bmoon:

What's even more unsettling about the JS call is what Suz said about him doing the same thing to Jason re: Veronica Mars. :dizzy:

I think JS is a guy who is trying to cover all bases, and keep as many options open as possible. But it does seem a little callous.

Hey, darlingcat...this sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Reminded that Sci Fi now airs "Moonlight" reruns in the same Friday time slot in which it originally aired, he said, "I still haven't been paid for it -- I think I'm still owed a residual for that."
Raven, have I told you lately how much I love you and your posts? :rose:
Yes, ML will always have a special place in Alex's heart and ours.

And I had exactly the same thought, surprise! :snicker:
Who is withholding well deserved pay from the creators and actors of ML? :banghead:

Thanks for posting the link Jade

Alex certainly sounds happy and eager to move on, though as Raven pointed out, Moonlight will always be his first true love  He does give great interviews doesn't he? :clapping:

Thanks Jade!

It's heartbreaking...poor Alex... I am sure it hurts to talk about ML...we know how it feels. :happysigh: :bmoon:

I dont get that phone call from Silvers...was that an exaggeration?
He just hung up the phone, never heard from him again.
What!?

I know, Lucky... sounds so unbelievable, not to mention cruel and irksome... but I am soooo glad Alex has now met and worked with other producers and directors... get him away from The Silver!

I get the feeling that perhaps Mr. Silver is a big talker--and hoped to get an ML movie made. I also remember an interview with Jason Dohring, before ML wasn't renewed, where he said that Mr. Silver told him not to make any other work arrangements, because he felt that ML would get picked up for season 2. Or maybe he was just overly optimistic?
Who knows.

I'm more apt to go with your big-talker theory... as I said, yay for Alex and his NEW producer friends...

Isn't it ironic that Silver is poison for vampires? :snicker:
