Do you think he's doing it in a kind of instinctive "Go away" gesture, or is it really a greeting? Seems a bit ambivalent to me, like he feels threatened or disturbed by the photog. He surely isn't used to having them in his face.

i think he was greeting the photographer, all the other actors posed for pictures while arriving at the upfront

I'm with you, Jade. The expression on his face is relaxed. The combination of hand gesture and expression says greeting to me, too.

Yeah... tho don't really care WHY he's using his hands, just that he is...
