I asked my hubby, who is a huge baseball fan, and he said they never televise the ceremonial first pitch unless it's done by someone huge, like a president (as helloeeze said). Maybe someone will go to the game and videotape it... I hope so!

Maybe Alex will be smart and get someone to videotape it close-up, and put it on his MySpace page!!!

Perhaps a few people should suggest that to him...

I wonder if the first pitch is a tie-in to the premier of Three Rivers in that the Pittsburgh Pirates are the guest team. I googled this and the Dodgers web site says that this is the last regular season game for them. I soooo want to see Alex pitch that ball!

I was thinking along the same lines, lynnrxgal. I'm thinking maybe Donate Life America may have some sort of sponsorship or bought up ad time before, during and after the game. You know, sort of public service announcements to get the word out about organ and tissue donation. And since Alex is in Three Rivers (which DLA supports) and he's publicly saying how much he wants to be involved with DLA as an Ambassador, that could be why he's throwing out the first pitch. During the game, there could be public speaker announcements about DLA, as well as pics and stories on the jumbotron showing the game. Just a thought...
