Just read this lovely drabble again and thought, where would Mick be today? I think a lot of us would like to think he was in L.A. with Beth, a happy couple, very much in love.

Here we see a Mick where things have not gone smoothly, yet Mick is still very much Mick--still driven by the feelings that were part of him when we last saw him--but he has to move on and carve out a new identity and life several times since L.A., alone.

How sad.

thanks, Jenna Perhaps this is a future Mick if Beth remained human and died....he would eventually have to leave LA and I wonder if anyone could have taken her place in his heart...

Another interpretation is that it isn't Mick at all.....

Now that is interesting. Perhaps Mick isn't entirely unique...

Nah. Mick is special, but perhaps he isn't the only vampire out there with those feelings.
