No one can party like Josef!

You're quite welcome,

Well,
that got tense!

Pushy vamps.

But, oh, how I love Mick -- and Josef -- to the rescue.

There's no doubt that Mick was ready to defend Beth by any means necessary, but thankfully, Josef smoothed things over before it came to that with his "house favorites."
Beth forgets sometimes how very different the rules are in this new world of Mick's that she's entered. Along with the excitement and allure, there are dangers she's never even imagined. Maybe, they both needed a bit of a scare to open up the lines of communication.

Not to mention, getting the
right kind of sparks flying.
Wonderful story,
MLC!

Love this story. The fireworks are always excellent -- and a bit dangerous -- at Josef's parties!

I don't think the decision was a tough one for Beth. She is impetuously inquisitive but she's also reasonable. Trying to put her off or divert her only leads to problems. It's a lesson Mick seems to have to learn over and over. Once he lets her in she can make good decisions. I think she just made one. LOL
This was such a nice post-Independence day treat.

I agree with
GuardianAngel: if Mick is honest with Beth and gives her the information she needs in order to safely enter his world, she won't be so likely to do impetuous things that can lead to trouble. Communication is the key in any relationship, but especially a human-vampire one!
I love that Beth understands about the symbolism of being marked by Mick. Bring on the fireworks!

A Beth that doesn't get into trouble? Maybe...
Nah.

Of course!

Beth without trouble is like a day without sunshine. Or orange juice. Or something. (Boy, am I dating myself with
that old TV ad!

Beth girl, you need to listen to Mick and Josef! This was close. Almost too close! Great ending!!
