Very cute, and clever. And, yeah, what the heck was Josh doing snooping in her underwear drawer???? Shame on him.

Oh boy, I hope Josh is more competent in court! Beth has Josh twisted like a pretzel...that relationship is doomed without even adding Mick to the equation.
That was a hoot! Standing ovation for Beth! :clapping:

I was lead here by the coffee house. I like Beth turning the tables on Josh. Underwear fetish???? As women we can confuse most men if we want to. Poor Josh doesn't know what hit him.

Inquiring minds want to know... just what was Josh doing in that drawer?

Cat,
Thanks again to the Coffee House for bringing me back to an old friend. I think I asked this on some other board, long long ago...but does Beth give lessons? Because SERIOUSLY, I wanna learn how to do that. She is really good. Poor Josh really never had a chance, did he?

For those thinking of using Beth's tactic, you may want to re-think that... As you can tell from reading the sequel, it doesn't always work! As we all know, Josh was no match for Mick and even without him in the equation he was no match for Beth! Knowing Josh, he was probably looking for something, distracted, and opened the wrong drawer. Or... perhaps he does have an underwear fetish?? :snicker:

Thanks to all for reading and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed.

Cat, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you have an unparalleled gift for humour ("He's just not.." remains one of my very favourite ML stories) and this is just lovely. A little chuckle on ML Friday - just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks again. You know, now that I think about it I can't remember ever writing this many of them in any of the other fanfic I have written. I can only conclude that there must be something about ML (besides just Mr. Snark Meister) that brings it out in me what I have no idea why! :?

This pair of ditties is so fun.

I can see Beth going on the offense with Josh, he voice going up in pitch.

Love it!

And that ladies is why Beth Turner should be with VampireMick instead of ChickenJosh -- all in one brief interchange. As one attorney once told me, "The best defense is a good offense." Kinda of sad to see Beth roll over Josh, and that despite his prosecutorial experience - he's not able to keep up. But then again, if he had been, maybe we'd have an entirely different story, not to our liking.

Loved it.
