Aw, honey. But it doesn't make it any better, even when you know what's coming.

Oh. Wow.

I know some people highlight portions they especially enjoy but I'd start at the first line and include the whole chapter. However, I loved this one:

"He opened the door and they took each other in with the eyes of new lovers and the recognition of old souls."

and

"I don't love you in spite of the vampire. I don't love you because of the vampire. I just love you."

and

"Have you been watching "An Affair to Remember Again"

Heartbreakingly lovely.

Love all this for Mick and Beth ... especially the memories on the beach ...
But my favorite part of all is Josef, turning from fixer to friend and struggling to find everything possible he can do for them.

I love that you felt that, Shadow. In so many ways, although there is a huge focus on Mick and Beth in this story, it's all about Josef....

Poetic and epic.

And I remember the end... :hankie:

This
"You're inside me, under my skin and I'll always be with you - everything else is just geography. Promise me, Mick."
I am holding in my heart forever! Forever!

I don't really know who I am crying for..Mick, Beth..or Josef? All I know is that rereading that story doesn't make you cry a tiny little less than the first time.
