It is amazing how spot on you always have Mick. Mick is the hardest ML character for me to write.

Her touch brought him back to life, he just doesn't realize that while her touch may have made him feel worthy it was his actions that made him worthy.

There is such passion in this. Not the romantic kind, it's the passion for life, Mick's passion to LIVE. To FEEL. Beth answers that need in a variety of ways. No wonder he can't resist.

This reminds me of the moment I fell for Moonlight - it was right there - in that first touch and how it changed Mick, how it changed everything. You've captured it beautifully and faithfully and I thank you for it.

I have to agree that this is a prose poem....and a lovely one at that.

She touched me.

In every sense of the word, she did, as you so beautifully describe. A child's hand to that of a self-perceived monster, only to find she wasn't afraid of him.

No-one had seen beyond skin and bone, flesh and fright.

Except an innocent child who saw only her savior.

I should have run. I should have saved myself. Anyone putting that much faith in you was a risk I couldn’t take, shouldn’t take. I should have known better.

But she touched me.

And I was alive.

I was alive.

How fitting that she would become his savior as well.

This is the first Moonlight story I read after vacation, and I am really so touched, so much of what I love about Mick is right here, is he whispering to you? I wonder...Thanks , red, it feels great to be home in MLA and you give me one more reason to love it here...everytime you write.
