I wonder who nominates/chooses the Sexiest Men, and how they make their picks. Does anyone know? I'm imagining a sexiness scale, a checklist, certain criteria, etc.

From this tweet, it sounds like Alex is in the issue.

Still, most fascinating photo in People's Sexiest Man Alive issue is Alex O'Loughlin (p. 148) for the two tattoos around his nipples.

I bet it's the white pants, black gloves no shirt photo. Race you to the store to find out!

The bad news... Alex's pic is one we've seen before, and which has appeared in several mags already, with the white boxing pants and the gloves and the magnifico pec ink.

The good news... Is that really bad news? It's one of the most sexy photos of anybody ever taken. Anybody. Any. Body. Ever.

The best news... His page is just that. His. Page. All him.

That one I do get - I think he has oodles of charisma - although if you've only ever seen a still pic I can see how it might not be obvious.

I guess it's for me like it's for other fandoms who don't get Alex or Jason. It's a matter of love and death.

I feel so bad for Bradley Cooper because they are making this huge deal that Ryan Gosling should have been on the cover. Poor guy, just let him enjoy this moment! There is always next year!

Ryan Gosling has charisma in spades. Still pics don't do him justice at all.

As for myself....I think Mr. O (hehehehehehehehehe ) should have been on the cover.

Of course, saying Sexiest Man Alive is silly, in and of itself, because the truth is...it should be Sexiest Male Celebrity...in People Magazine's opinion. Heh.

I've got a long list of male celebs I find sexy and some of my choices would make people go "Huh?" In the eye of the beholder and all that.

Yeah-- it's so depressing that people feel they have the right to attack other people, simply because they're in the spot that the haters think THEIR person belongs.

Oh well. I've got to say, it seems pretty silly to get all het-up about the "Sexiest Male Celebrity...in People Magazine's Opinion" issue, anyway. (And thank you, Christy, for the name--it's perfect!)
