I hope you are well now!!
I can relate to how horrible you feel with the flu, but you have to know that a flu shot is no guarantee that you won't get it. In fact, the times I have gotten the flu have coincided with years that I have gotten flu shots. Thing is, you aren't being vaccinated against all the strains of the flu virus.
It definitely does reduce the odds, though.
The story was fascinating. Vampires can run afoul of the bad situations in the world, too.
